Bruce Baughman Attorney at Law

I hired this lawyer and he is dishonest and very rude, he will take all your money and not give you what you asked for. Very hard to communicate with. Don't hire him. All the below reviews are 100% is right, I regret spending $10,000 on him with no results. He will make you loose faith in the justice system.

In my opinion this is the biggest POS to ever stand on two legs and is a complete liar, unprofessional, unethical, a thief, rude, insulting, dirty, sneaky, back-stabbing, total useless piece of sub-human garbage I have EVER encountered. After he represented my wife in a divorce in the late 90's, I took Mr. Baughman before the State Bar of Texas on grounds of unprofessional conduct for the MANY adverse actions he took against me, the MANY threats he made toward me, including a threat of causing bodily harm with the use of a deadly weapon. DO NOT HIRE THIS A**HOLE, you will TOTALLY regret that decision, I PROMISE you. I can only HOPE and PRAY that one day this POS crosses the wrong person and they PUT HIM DOWN as he deserves to be. If I'm still angry after near 20 years later, image how he can affect you. PLEASE take my advice, ANY OTHER attorney will be a MARKED improvement over this lying clown!

If anyone wants a copy of the transcript detailing just SOME of the atrocities Bruce Baughman committed while representing my wife that I submitted to the State Bar of Texas in order to secure a hearing - which they granted - I would be more than happy to make it available to you, just as PROOF this man is a walking NIGHTMARE. Anyone who believes he is a good, respectable, ethical, professional attorney has either A) Never really dealt with him; or B) is delusional. Before I even met him but heard his name once my wife hired him, I was told by an employee of mine who had hired him herself once, "I'm not kidding...I seriously don't think the man has a soul. I'd like to tell him, 'Bruce, you may be making a lot of money and you may live to be 80 or 90 years old, but ONE day you're going to leave this world and I'm REALLY concerned about where you're going to spend Eternity.'" She told me that as a Christian, she felt compelled to write to Bruce and try to have him change his ways, so that he doesn't spend Eternity in Hell. I don't think she ever did, not sure...but honestly, I think Hell was made JUST FOR people like Bruce Baughman.

After two and a half years and over 50 times to court I'm still not done. My ex used him as her attorney and nothing but games from the beginning . She got a default granted because she said I was notified but wasn't neither my attorney. When the judge asked him, of course he had no proof he did. I had to file a bill of review which after a year finally overturned the default. 2 years of wasted time and money for the same outcome. He could care less if you have kids. We finally came to an agreement on a MSA. Why after two months the orders are still not ready. Ohh that's right he was on vacation. This is the biggest POS lawyer in town.

There isn't a score low enough to rate this guy or his office staff. He thrives on intimidation, which would be ok, if he was smart enough to win. He's constantly unprepared, but overly arrogant. His office staff is incompetent at best. Waste of time and money, a mistake I couldn't afford.

Bruce Baughman is like every deceitful, treacherous, slimy lawyer you have ever read about or seen on television. Don't trust him or his employees.

Bruce Baughman is unethical. His contract includes a huge payment to him that looks like but is not a retainer. It is a payment to him just for being your lawyer. No fees are taken from it. Other lawyers are flabbergasted, as this is not at all standard in the business. After you pay his bills, he KEEPS YOUR MONEY, and you've now paid like 10K more than you expected, and he won't ever explain this, instead claiming that after all, you can read, can't you? Meanwhile, the legal mumbo jumbo is undecipherable. The legal services are also shotty.

Kimberly Baughman, daughter of Bruce Baughman, gave my family something that no amount of money can repay. PIECE OF MIND and SAFETY for our little boy!! We have been so blessed by her dedication to her work and knowledge. We could never repay her for what she has done for our family! If it is an attorney you need to protect your family, Kimberly is the one you want on your side!! Can't thank Brandy, the receptionist enough either. She had to deal with my freak outs and break downs and all the while she was patient and kind. Can say enough what a blessing these beautiful women are to me.

Bruce Baughman came highly recommended to me years ago and I was well advised to hire him. He is tough, but at all the right times on all the right people. If you want someone to coddle you, he's not your guy. If you want someone to win your case, he is. Bruce is knowledgeable, respected, and effective and I know I'm not alone in my assessment because Texas Monthly magazine also named him one of the top attorneys in Texas. I am personally acquainted with Jakiarosa who left a factually inaccurate and slanderous statement about Bruce on this website. Her real name is Lorena Lopez and I HIRED Bruce to help her before I fully understood her emotional and psychological challenges. She did not pay Bruce any money because I paid for his hire. Unfortunately, due to the unique challenges she has emotionally and psychologically, I did not consider it in her children's best interests to fund her litigation against her ex-husband any further than I already had. I find it sad that Ms. Lopez' inability to get someone else to fund her suit has caused her to strike out without cause against such a fine attorney. If you want to know about Bruce, talk to Bruce himself or to people who have followed through, and paid their own way, in their engagement of Bruce for their legal matters. I believe, like Texas Monthly magazine, you will find a very happy crowd and discover one of Texas' Finest Attorneys. This man collects monthly fees and no answers to your questions. Brandy his assistant, is just as rude as Bruce is. Money is what he likes best and have your children's interest last.

If you want it done right Bruce Baughman is who you use. !!! Period. End of story! Every moron in Texas knows that !!
