Took my truck in for air bag recall, first time at Chuck Stevens Dodge. I have had previous recalls done in Mobile with no issues. Thought I would save time and gas since they're closer since I have moved. Service manager calls after they change the passenger side inflator and says that my airbag light is on and will need to replace the on off switch on the dash for passenger side. There was nothing wrong when the truck was dropped off and they claimed the airbag light was on apon arrival, which it was not. Refused to except responsibility for the issue. All they had to do is say the switch was bad when testing and needed to be replaced, but they chose to say it was like that when dropped off. So I took it it to the Mobile dealership for the repair. I'm not going to support a business and give them my hard earned money when they are not upfront and honest from the start. I will not use them for any future repairs or recalls.
Very slow paying off trade in, will not tell truth as when payoff was sent. Short changed finance co. on payoff and Fl. Taxes on tag transferred by $167.00. Sales person good but finance people unreliable.
The most unethical company you will find.
I've been in automotive advertising for 26 years. I was sitting in my living room watching the news and a Chuck Stevens Chevrolet TV spot aired. Those of us in the industry are constantly striving to put the best possible product on the air that we can. I just find it disturbing that the local TV stations would allow something no better than the quality of a home movie to air in prime time, From an advertising point of view, it misses the mark on every element of a successful TV campaign. It contains, no message, almost no graphics and the video quality was nothing I would accept for anything my agency would air. All it wanted to make me do was change the channel. It makes you wonder what kind of dealership he runs when he cares so little for his image. Mr. Stevens should stick to selling automobiles and leave the advertising to the professionals.
These guys sold us a var with a bad engine. Will not stand behind what they sell. Buyer beware!
