Friendly atmosphere and staff
The whole staff is wonderful, their meats are so good! The sausages remind me of the products my grandfather and uncle made in Alpena, Mi. Greg and his staff have kept the art of being an old world meat market alive. I drive all the way from Southgate MI. The people in Bay City don't really know how special this meat market is.
I love this store! When it comes to their sausage you can't beat it anywhere else. They use only real spices, no MSGs. Yes, they might cost a little more, but it's worth it to get great customer service and very high quality products.
I've been going to Paul for many years. In my mind, going the meat market should be like going to your favorite barber. They get to know you, they call you buy your name. They remember things about you and your family. Kramer's is just that. A little hidden gem where being the town butcher is still an art. The home made sausages are fantastic. The beef jerky is some of the best I've ever had. The selection may be limited, but Paul chooses quality over quantity. If you are looking for a place that treats each customer like family then this is the place to go.
Manager are extremally power hungry. They will yell at you over the littlest thing and make accusations toward employees and than they will pull you away from your job take you in the back where there is no cameras and yell at you and accuse you of attitude put you down as if you was stupid. Than if you try to explain they will just continue to throw you attitude and interrupt you and yell more. So its there way they are aloud to treat anyone like dirt and nothing will ever get done about it. So the only thing I recommend is never work there. I don't even shop there because there meats go bad within a few days after buying it and if you try to return to exchange they blame it on customer. Not right.
Extremely friendly helpful people. If your looking for the local butcher feel this is the place to go. Can walk in and ask questions get suggestions etc.
Always liked Jack's. Been shopping there for as long as I can remember. I've tried other meat markets closer to home, but none of them compare to Jack's. The produce is fresh as well. It's a great place with reasonable prices.
Everything in the store is way overpriced. And by overpriced, I mean OVERPRICED. It doesn't do a great deal of business that I've noticed, so I wouldn't trust the meat either. I bought hamburg once and it seemed fresh, but I definitely wouldn't trust most other meats.
The homemade bratwurst is unimpressive. It's much too salty. The workers aren't very friendly. They refuse to honor the prices listed on their website (they claim not to have access to the website anymore to change the prices). They're dishonest with their prices. They offer coupons for certain meats one week and then the next week the meat is priced lower than the coupon price. And if you order a meat bundle, plan on your order being screwed up and don't expect anything in return for your troubles. I won't shop at Meats & Moore. I don't like the way they do business, I don't like their homemade sausages, and I don't trust the meat they sell. I'll stick with Jack's.
