I've been here several times in the past and have had exceptional food and good service. I'm not sites if it's undergone another management change or what but today could not have been more different from my previous visits. First, the entire restaurant was freezing cold, the staff had to wear sweaters inside. Then the floors near our table were covered in spilled eggs. Finally, there was poor service and a menu that was a sad imitation of it's former self. We decided to leave and go across the street to another restaurant. So sad to see a great restaurant reduced to this.
husband loved the prime rib. I really liked the wet burrito. huge serving size could have fed 2 people. good beer and service.
this place was cool and friendly. they have a big menu, and different daily specials as well. their bloody mary was sooo good. bartender was sweet, attentive and polite, made us feel very welcome. will be back for sure.
Mad Cook, next to the Last time I was in there, which has been a little while, the Black African American Cook, wife and son were fighting with a customer due to the customer asking the cook manning the grill outside if the ribs were baby back. The cook got mad for no reason and started a fist fight with the customer and cooks family members joined in. I was surprised i didn't hear about a lawsuit after the unprovoked Dore's workers beating a customer up. Then after this happened, a week later I was there and the same cook got into it with another customer. I didn't hear how it started but the customer was saying" I was just asking how much a plate of BBQ was" If your a white male, Stay out of here unless you want a beating by the staff.
My wife bought a coupon only to discover we can use it Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. This was not stated on the coupon. Slightly disappointing.They advertise several craft beers on their web site but were out of four of them. When our waitress was taking our drink order we ask several questions regarding the craft beers. After three questions in a row were followed by “I have no idea” we asked if she could ask someone who did.She told us that she wasn’t even 21 and didn’t know what a craft beer was. Perhaps someone else than should be taking the drink orders I thought.The food was not bad although my wife’s chips were obviously the remaining crumbs from the bottom of the bag and should have been left there. I had the wet burrito, when asked if I need salsa or sour cream I responded “sour cream”. She came back after I had finished half of my burrito to ask “how is everything?” I responded “sour cream.” Nice girl just poorly trained. Not a good time. Felt like money wasted.
I took my daughter to this restaurant and we could not get over the GREAT menu. The best thing was the FOOD was more impressive than the MENU!! I used to own a restaurant so it's hard to impress me...but you did!! Keep it up!
