We had a Kenmore Elite refrigerator that had 3 different problems the last being the replacement of the compressor and the mother board, which put us without a refrigerator for over a month. The repairman was very nice and spent 3 hours trying to repair the refrigerator (good thing we had full repair coverage). It was decided that a replacement refrigerator would be best and we were told how much we had to spend on a new refrigerator. Once he left all our troubles started. The Sears Store in our town charged us over $400.00 for the supposed difference in cost, which I later found out we should not have had to pay. We are having to go thru alot to get our money back, not with the Sears repair and/or corp offices but with the store. Really really sad
My 2 year old Kenmore refrigerator broke. The techs were competent and courteous but it took a week for the 1st appt then 4 days more to order the compressor and then another week for them to come out again. All this time we were without a fridge. If they are going to make things that break in 2 years, and I understand this is not uncommon; they need to hire more repair people.
Repairman was very nice & he knew the problem right away when we told him what had happened. He fixed it in about ten minutes.
The serviceman was great and fixed the problem but the service cost me over $200 for changing out what boils down to be an oversized fuse. I won't make that mistake again. I could have bought a new dryer for $400.
I truly received a first class service. The Service Technician was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. This is the first time that a Service Technician tested the equipment after service.
Technician was on time and quickly made the repair on my dryer. I bought the maintenance program and got 50% off on the repair.
this is the third week in a row that Sears has been here to repair our ice dispenser that is not dispensing ice. Guy #1 told me what it was and said he had to order a part. Made an appointment for the following week. One part arrived and the tech came and installed that part. He showed me the part worked. As soon as he left, I tried the dispenser and it was doing the EXACT same thing BEFORE he came. I tried to reach the tech on his cell number and left a message, with no return call.I called Sears the next day and had to wait another week! Meanwhile, another part arrives.Tech #2 came out- took one look and said I needed another part that should have been replaced in the first place! I have to wait yet another week!I am so mad I could spit nails. Definitely not called Sears repair again! $420.00 for a $250.00 part!
Our Kenmore washer was repaired on Jan 13, 2016. Techs were on time and did a good job. Scheduling appointments using the Chat feature on their website worked well, and a transcript of the chat was emailed to me. Parts were ordered on a previous visit. Washer was usable (just making a loud noise on spin cycle) so waiting for the parts wasn't an issue in our case.
On Nov. 11, 2015 2 Sears Techs came to my house to repair my heat and air unit. They had to order parts for it and said they would come back when the parts came in and repair that one and service my other unit. They were courteous and knowledgeable
