Dr Huynh is tops in my book.I used him 2 years ago he was very informative and as I am older and hard of hearing very helpful. The glasses he measured me for fit much better than any I have got in the past.I am going back this,or next week since it is time to get new glasses.

I love Dr. Thai. I really do. And the only reason I put up with his so-called assistants is for his excellent services. I can't tell you the amount of times they miscommunicated to him what exactly I needed. Fortunately, he is patient and understands English, whereas his assistants do not. Would help if they were bilingual or something.Secondly, the assistants are very chatty to one another. They hardly pay any attention to whoever walks in and you have to be a little rude to get them to service you. (I hate that)They also have no idea how insurance works (as you may see from other reviewers). Ex: The last time I went I knew I didn't need new glasses, just new lens prescription. After the exam , the lady helping me insisted I pick a new pair, and assured me the insurance would cover it. Well, it didn't. And they were pricey glasses. Then she realized her mistake and tried to fix it in her system.Something that should have taken me 15 minutes to order took about an hour. Ridiculous.Don't go here if you're in a rush, that's for sure. I don't know how much more of his "assistants" I can take.
ive been wearing glasses for 30 years and have bought quite a few pairs but never had an optician as helpful as the one at vision for less, Serena took her time and truly helped me with picking out frames that look the best on me, being honest about what looked the best on me, i was very satisfied with my service there and ended up getting 2 pairs that i love. Thank You Serena and keep up the good work, Rhonda Perrone
My first visit with this eye care provider was horrible. A few of the staff were rude and not helpful with helping me get an understanding on why my insurance didn't cover my visit. The nurse rushed me to hurry off the phone with my insurance company because they were closing in 30 minutes, however I had waited in the reception area for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. After I talked to my insurance company, I decided to go ahead and pay for the eye exam out of pocket and purchase glasses. The eye exam was $85 and I purchased eye glasses. My visit totaled to approximately $400. I was also interested in contact lenses, but the exam for contacts were an additional $60 plus I would have to purchase the contact lenses. I have worn contact lenses for several years. The eye doctor Eric N. Thai acknowledged that my vision had not changed. I informed him that I wanted to purchase contacts from 1800contacts and he discouraged me from doing so, saying that he could could order my contacts and match the third party's price. However, I decided to order my contacts at a later date. The next week I contacted the eye care provider to receive my eye exam prescription so that I could purchase contacts from 1800contacts. 1800contacts told me I would only need my prescription from my eye exam. Premier Eyecare refused to write a prescription for my contacts stating that I would have to pay them an additional $60 for a "contact fitting", where they only put testers in the eye and then they would write a prescription. There would not be any measurement to my eyeballs or anything significant. When I went in person to ask for the prescription. Dr. Thai got aggressive saying he will not write my prescription without me paying for a contact fitting. I then asked him, had I did the $60 contact examination instead of the eye examination, would I have been able to buy glasses and contacts. He said yes. However, since I only purchased the $85 eye exam, I could only get glasses. My issue with this business is that I informed them I was interested in both contacts and glasses. They were not willing to inform me that I could have just did the contact exam, and I could have purchased both glasses and contacts. The eye doctor and his staff informed me that the contact exam would be an additional $60 (not including contact lenses) to the $400 I paid for eyeglasses and a regular eye exam. A good and honest business would be forthcoming with informing patients who are interested in both eyeglasses and contact lenses that they could save $15 if they get the contact exam, which would work for glasses as well. Instead, this business wanted to gyp patients out of money by withholding this information. It would not have been difficult to write my eye prescription. But since they were aware that I wanted contacts from a third party seller, they refused to cooperate with writing my prescription because they were aware that I needed it for contact lenses. So after spending $400 with this eye care provider, they refused to help a loyal customer because they were overcome by greed.
Great place. Great staff. Great doctor.
Dr. Joey is very friendly and thorough and never rushes my exam. He is very knowledgable and not only answers my questions but takes time to explain my options and treatment plan with extra care. His staff also seems to be well educated on products and procedures as well, and they make the medical and vision insurance process quick and painless. I always look forward to my visits at the vision center and am quick to refer friends and family.
I have an appointment today for my boys, but because I was super busy and short of people at work my mother offer to help by taking by sons to Vision For Less for the eyes exam. Later, I received a phone call from my mother and she told me over the phone that the Vietnamese doctor Kiet T. Huynh asked her "Do you speak English well? The children mother speak fluent English why didn't she bring them here." Then the phone was handed over to me with the doctor on the other line, I asked him "Can you speak Vietnamese to my mother?" He replied "My Vietnamese is not good, I need you to bring them back so incase something wrong I can tell you." I asked " Can you tell me over the phone after you've exam them?" But he refused to so I decided to have my mother take them some where else. So much of a bilingual doctor. If you do not speak fluent English...then don't bother to come here because they will not serve you. This place truly is SERVICE FOR LESS!!!!!!
Just this month I came in this place for an eye appointment since it was recommended to me by a friend who claims to be a patient of theirs for about 2 years. I gave this place a chance to live up to their reputation so I walked in. I love the atmosphere of this place. So many frames to choose from that you would really want to take your time checking them. There were a couple of Asian ladies giggling and chatting in the front desk who greeted me. They gave me some papers to work on and they treated me nicely. After 15 minutes of waiting, my name was called by a black lady to be taken back to their examination room. I asked her a couple of simple questions and to my surprise she does not know what she was doing. My questions were a little scientific but this girl answers me a crap full of "umm.. umm and more umms" as if she just started working in this place 2 hours ago. I was utterly disappointed. My queries were simple but she couldn't even find resources to answer it. The next thing I asked her was about my insurance. She had a paper in her hands and it took her so long to get what I'm saying.. She phoned a coworker and relayed information for me. It was just pathetic. I wish I was handled by another, better and more knowlegeable person. To add more disappointment, check out process took about 30 minutes since she had to phone somebody again. I was in so much relief when a white lady took her place and checked me out. This white girl sure knows what she was doing. Good Lord. Pls be more knowlegeable next time.
QUITE POSSIBLY THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I called yesterday to see if I would be able to fill my moms prescription, seeing that she is in the hospital, and the general manager assured me as long as she has visited before, they can duplicate her measurements. BUT WHAT DO YOU KNOW, I go in today and they look at me like I am damn idiot and are very condescending . I talked to the general manager on the phone, and she was the one waiting on me today.. But claims she didn't speak with me yesterday.. I just want to know how many general managers it takes to run the place because I am positive they only have 1.. Needless to say, I was very unhappy and made them aware, as they proceeded to kick me out. THE NAME SHOULD BE SERVICE FOR LESS.
The people are rude. The frames are not just cheap in price they are cheap in quality. I will never go here again.
