I have never experienced being verbally and emotionally attacked by a staff member. She identified herself as (Dr. Eric Thai's wife), in front of others patients, staff members, which included Dr. Eric Thai. She was belligerent and belittling in her attempt to communicate. I was only revisiting this location to secure requested information from my recent eye exam/frame fitting on (March 29, 2014)Instead, I was spoken to so disrespectfully. If that wasn't enough, she adamantly refused to give me all of my results. I know my insurance covered the entire visit, therefore; I vehemently question why I am only privy to a portion of my results? I was mishandled, disrespected, and treated with prejudice. No thought was given or exercised as it pertained to my rights as their customer of the last five years. The tone of voice used to address me was intentionally demeaning, furthermore; it was intended to incite an interaction that surely would have ended in an altercation. However, I had no desire to lower myself to her standard. Therefore, if you care less as to the overall treatment you'd receive at the hands of these unprofessional professionals, turn a blind eye and prepare to be blindsided.

Rude staff, particularly Becky. She acts like you're bothering her for doing her job. Dr. Patin is a nice fellow, but 6 months ago he recommended a new contact lens for dry eyes. From day one I had problems, but I had purchased them and sent in the bar code on the boxes for a rebate which I never received. So I thought I was stuck and had to finish them. After suffering through six months of uncomfortable lenses it was finally time to reorder. I asked to go back to the previous brand. They refused to order them without another exam. Another $35. After trying to explain the situation they refused to offer another alternative. I have never been so disappointed in an establishment. Would not recommend this place at all.
Made an appt. with the Gonzales office thinking I was making it with the BR office for my two sons to have eyes checked. The Gonzales office takes VSP. The BR office does not. I called ahead to be sure my insurance was accepted. It is accepted but not for the dr. the appt was with. No one bothered to let me know this when making the appt. Found out when I rec'd a bill for $395! Imagine my surprise! Called office manager to see if they would work with me since I assumed because Gonzales accepted VSP they did, too (my mistake). Also to find out why they did not let me know when the appointment was made. I chose him because we have all seen him before. Called the office manager back after about a week later to follow up. After leaving 4-5 messages for a week straight, she finally called back to let me know the drs. had decided the charges would remain with no sort of adjustment. So very disappointed! Won't make same mistake twice!
I appreciate your valuable feedback and would genuinely like to be able to correct your concerns. We pride ourselves on word-of-mouth referrals and patient loyalty. I apologize for the experience you had at our office. The process of ordering materials when using vision care benefits can indeed become challenging to decipher for both the staff and the patient due to the regulations set forth by that insurance company. Our insurance department does its best to try and understand the many different insurance plan and try to educate all staff members on the different coverage's. Please contact our office manager at 225.248.6160 to discuss this further. ****** Premier Eyecare & Optical
I only came in for an adjustment but I've been here for almost 30 minutes while several people who walked in after me have been getting 5 star treatment. One particular employees is always rude and sarcastic towards me and keeps asking me to wait somewhere else instead of helping me. I need to find a new glasses place.
seen 3 different Drs here, each doin their "procedures" even sewing my eye shut,an when I did get eye unstitched it was worse then when we started,an they hate giving anything for pain,so stitch your eye shut an tell me it don't hurt an I will apologize, remove this remark an rate them a five, they recommended me to eye medical center by olol, same story, months later eye no better then when I started seein Drs back in sept2013,still out of work April 2014,now I might need cornea transplant when they get done milkin the Ins. Co,may be out of work another year after transplant, can anyone explain this...??? PLEASE!!!
Dr. Jong and her staff are fantastic. She takes all of the time that you need to answer any questions. Her staff is very knowledgeable and she has the latest technology and products. She also had a great selection of eye glass frames and competitive prices. Make Advanced Eye Center your next call if you are looking for an amazing eye exam.
TERRIBLE SERVICE.I got lasik back in 2006 a few months after (once everything should have healed) I went back to explain I had trouble driving at night. Dr. Hebert said everything was ok. Only 5 years later I went ahead and got an eye exam from another Dr. and they tell me I need glasses. when I contacted eyecare they informed be if I wanted my vision corrected AGAIN I would have to pay full price. Lasik didn't even last 5 years. That was a lot of money I spent and was repeatedly told it would last til around the age of 45 ( I am only 27). I have not done anything extreme or out of the ordinary to cause my eyes to go bad so quickly. I am livid about this and feel I just threw away my money and they don't even care to provide the service they promised, which is correcting my eyesight!
