I was served by Megan a few times and D'Vanna. They both provided excellent service and seemed very enthusiastic about their job and providing a positive experience for us. They were so friendly that I wanted to ask them to join us for lunch! They have open mic night on Thursday nights. Anyone can come in and play music, do karyole or provide entertainment for fun and free. I really enjoyed how much fun everyone was having, including the staff, and look forward to attending their next open mic night. They had a famous musician get up there and play a few songs for fun. It was so cool, I took a picture with him! I was really impressed with their management team, Wes, Marie and Pete were very involved in the service and took special time to make sure we were well taken care of. You can tell when someone truly cares about your experience and they definitely went above and beyond.Food was great- My favorite is the burger! My absolute favorite part though, is that they always have drink specials! I go once a week, since they opened, and I have a great experience every time I go! I highly recommend bringing a group of friends and having a great night out! Even my mother in law had a great time with such a young and upbeat scene!
Great spot to drink, eat and enjoy LSU Sports!! This hidden jem has it all... pool tables, dart board, jukebox, drink specials, great food and atmosphere.
Really cool, CLEAN, & smoke-free sports bar! Love the bar food (the burgers are really good) and big selection of draft beer! Everything about this place is really cool, ESPECIALLY the fact that the bar is actually 2 trains and a box car.. true story!
Lady had a attitude small is $6 way over price for the quality of drink they serve
I am a black educated (graduated from Howard University) female from NY and DC and have traveled all over this country and have never experienced anything like I had at Punchers. The atmosphere and music was good but the management and bouncers were obviously racist. I had no problem getting in the bar but my male friends did because the bouncer said that the management was telling him over the head peace not to let them in because of what they were wearing. My friends were not hoodlums of any kind. All college educated, well-dressed, and well spoken young men. They try to only let a few blacks in at a time. After I stood by I started watching other young white men enter with the same clothes as my friends. So I went back to the bouncer and said what was going on they are letting in others with the same attire (jean shorts, t-shirt, etc nothing baggy). I put on my girlish charm and said can they please let them in. Then all of a sudden they decided to have a heart. Anyway, We got in and bought 15 shots, 3 of those famous slushy drinks and four beers. We were told by the bouncer that if we didn't keep buying drinks that we had to leave. SMH, I have never been so pissed with an establishment in my life and I am in Hospitality as a Manager. I then went to complain and they tried to ignore the situation. So I told my friends we needed to leave because I didn't want to spend another dollar there or support that place anymore. We were the life of the party there anyway. Right when I was leaving I seen a African guy going through the same issues. He had on nice fitted pants and nice shoes and they still were giving him a hard time. I went to the guy and said Im sorry your experiencing this it happened to us too. I told the police outside and they said there use to hearing this and they can't do anything about it. REALLY? That night was soooo sad. Being from up North I had never experienced racism like this before. If you believe in equality don't support this place go next door or something. We all as people have to stand up to this foolishness. Love, Peace, and Blessings
What a waste of a night!!! The band was good but the drinks were way overpriced and service was slow despite the fact that there were only 10 people in there the entire night. Management stiffed the band at the end of the night and were really rude to them while they were packing up their equipment. I will never go here ever again!!!
Horrible venue. There were only about 10 people there the entire night, everyone just sat and looked miserable the entire time even though the band was awesome, the TVs outside on the patio didn't work so you couldn't watch the game outside, drinks were way overpriced, and apparently the owner shorted the band at the end of the night. Never go here!!!
This is the best bar ever! I have never had as much fun at a bar as I did last night. I found this place about a week ago and decided to go with my girlfriends to Ladies Night. If you have never been to Punchers you need to go. I was scared thinking it was a Jersey Shore bar, but that is the place above Punchers "The Office". Punchers is my new party spot Thusdays.
Best hamburgers, daiquiris & cold beer! Try their crab cakes...
