Nearly anything you eat at Uncle O's is delicious. In fact, I really haven't found anything I didn't like so far. The roast beef poboys have nice, thick slabs of meat and yummy brown gravy. The bread was delicious and not tough at all. His crawfish and corn soup is fantastic but do not eat it if you don't want a warm tummy that makes you sleepy! He does a nice Sensation salad dressing that's the favorite of many in my office. My fav dishes there are the gumbos and his fried catfish. They just might be the best in the city. Uncle O's used to be a restaurant but the owner closed that and opened a smaller place across the road from his old location. He's still getting everything together over there and the seating is limited as the new place is really more take-out. But the owner is a very nice gentleman who cares very deeply about his customer's satisfaction and that's one of the things that keeps me coming back.
Look if you don't like the place or food just change your location , go to McDonald's with your complaining , for something 3 - 5 star's Restaurant these thing's will be just Zipp it up , be happy people's enjoy wherever you go with your family or yourself . Don't sow that bad seed , bcuz your children's will mimic your attitudes , every business have flaws , don't even we all do2 , So Praise the Lord that yu got some where 2 go N , count it a blessing : PS , Give a great $$Tip b4 yu get serve , make that person excited , your entree will taste better , and that person will wait on yu with joy N , love , try it , just do something Xtra my friend , Amen !
Went to eat there recently, wasn't all that impressed. It may have been the place to go in it's heyday, but that was a long time ago. Apparently they decided to rest on their laurels and reputation instead of keeping up with the times and competition. Our seafood on this day was overcooked, too salty, and the waiter had an attitude as if waiting tables was beneath him. I understand an LSU student trying to make a few extra bucks might not like the job, but the school of hard knocks is going to give him a few lessons of it's own one day.
Uncle O's is now open directly across the street from its original location in the lot with all of the used cars inside the building. Tiger Bait Grill is not Uncle O's and we have not changed our menu we still have Fried Turkeys and everything we had at the old O's except for less eating that will improve as soon as possible same number but the new address is 14555 S Harrell's Ferry Road. Stop by you will not be dissapointed. Hours are Monday- Friday 11am to 7pm and Saturday 11am to 2pm Thanks and hope to see you soon at O's !!!
It is Red Lobster. What else can you say about it except it is Red Lobster. The wait staff did a bang up job. Professional waitstaff. Shout out to my waitress, I think her name was Sara(?) Darn, I should have written it down. Anyway, she was great considering how busy the restaurant was and how demanding my table mates were with the modifications to their selections. Food? It is was Red Lobster. Hot, Fresh, properly prepared and all that. It was good, but I am not going to confuse the food with fine dining.
Stopped in at Ralph & Kacoo's the last time I was in Baton Rouge and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Not only was the service exceptional ( friendly, attentive and professional), but the food was out of this world. Not only was the food served hot and delicious, the portions were large enough that we were able to take leftovers home. The entire atmosphere makes it a complete and unique experience. I recommend that everyone stop in when in Baton Rouge. You will definitely be in for a treat!
I don't know what is expected from Red Lobster but my food was delicious! My daughter and I went on a Friday and we only waited about 30 mins top! Our waitress, Amber, was wonderful...and the food was great! I am not sure if diners are setting the bar to high or what but we had a wonderful experience! Good food, great waitress and price! I will go again! :)
Went there not too long ago. Food came out luke warm at best....the server, can't remember her name, was argumentative & rude. I remember eating there as a teenager (many years ago) and couldn't wait to come back. Now, can't wait to find another dining option. Sorry.
Had Drusilla"s A Y C E Boiled Shrimp tonight for $12.95. Shrimp were great. Perfectly seasoned with just enough spice to make us drink a lot of Ice Tea. Waiter Skip provided excellent and efficient service. We (Party of 4) will be back regularly on Tuesdays.
Plenty of food for the price & was delicious. Sat outside on the patio. It was busy, but still had great service. We ordered shrimp & catfish dinner, oyster & catfish dinner,& chicken dinner. All were wonderful! Food, service, & atmosphere. Will definitely b back!
