This is the most rude lil person I have ever encountered. I can't call him a man.... I brought my dress in and he was doing the measurements, he was so ugly and his wife kept saying he was hungry and to busy to get a chance to sit and eat. Well he should be appreciative that he is busy especially how he treats people. Against my better judgement I left my dress, I had to buy a belt to be sewed on, 4 and 1/2 weeks later still no word from him, I dropped by thinking my dress would be ready and all I would need was for him to see that on. NO HE HADNT EVEN TOUCHED MY DRESS‼️‼️‼️‼️He was acting like I was crazy because I asked him why he wasn't finished???? He kept looking at the calendar saying I'll have it done next week..... no LITTLE DANNY I wouldn't step foot or let you touch anything of mine. You are 1 mean LITLE person. You have no manners and maybe you are good I have no idea, and personally don't care to find out!!!! Maybe you can treat some people like this and they except it but not me!!!! Good luck people but beware of this evil lil person at the golden needle on Florida Blvd.

As a builder of detailed scale model kits, I have been dealing with them off-and-on for a while, especially when they had a decent salesman for those items. Unfortunately, after relocating their store, they have changed several policies to become less friendly towards my hobby, as well as losing their only qualified salesman. For instance their discount-table has been eliminated for slow-moving items, and instead they have been moved them to their used/older-kit display where items are artificially over-priced. Their main deficiency, in addition to any competent sales help with the kit selection is in the supplies department for my hobby. They do not even try to seriously support basic painting by at least selling a decent paint brush, much less air-brushing or any sort of basic hobby tools or after-market items, frankly leaving Hobby Lobby, Harbor Freight Tools and Little Wars as the only walk-in stores that seriously do.
does a great job for a reasonable price! I currently bring everything to her...dresses, pants, shorts, etc. Thank you! Sincerely, short girl with curves :)
I live out of town and will not hesitate to make the 1 1/2 hour trip, to get perfect alterations every time. Simply the best...
Bought 3 drones 1 of them has defect owner does not want to stand behind product 2 days old telling me to send it to manufactor I will be better off ordering from amazon a least they will swap it out for you they want get one dime from again!!!
Absolutely one of the best tailors I've ever used. My dress was a size 10 but my chest area only measures for a size 4 so he had to take up a lot. My dress is full of beading ,lace and details. He even had to examine and stare at my dress for 15 minutes trying to figure out how to take it in. All together I had that, the hip area, the length fixed and straps added. It is gorgeous! He is busy so I recommend brining the dress early, took 2 months to fix mine. Reasonable prices. Danny is amazing!
Danny and his wife are both AMAZING!! So, so grateful taking my dress to the Golden Needle!! Danny customized my dress EXACTLY the way I asked for and it turned out better than I had imagined. He is truly amazing at what he does. Being from out of state, I took my dress based on the satisfied reviews I read. One review talked about him being rude and bossy but that was completely untrue for me each time I visited!! He is honest, helpful, and fun, and is absolutely concerned with customer satisfaction! I would recommend Danny at the Golden Needle to any bride debating on where to have their dress altered.
MOST welcoming, lovable and kind husband and wife running a professional business. They are exceptional and consistent with their work. I am a long time customer and I have never been let down. Absolutely recommend this tailor shop location to anyone in Baton Rouge.
Because of my build, my clothes must be altered to look their best. I started going to Golden Needle about four years ago. I am VERY PLEASED with the service and quality. I agree the tailor can be a bit of a fuss-budget, but I find it endearing the way she orders me around - "Get up, stand up straight, turn around." I think the prices are reasonable, given the cost of women's clothing these days, and the tailoring results are perfection. Highly recommend.
DO NOT GO THERE! The lady who owns the place is rude and mean. She put an ink stain in my shorts with her ink pen right in front of me and didn't even offer to go down on the price. Because she didn't go down on the price for her mistake on my expensive shorts, I asked to take my clothes and take my business elsewhere. When I asked her to have my clothes back BEFORE SHE EVEN HEMS THEM, she said NO. I got on the phone with my lawyer on the spot. She kept claiming I had to pay her because she fitted the clothes on me with safety pins...BUT I BEG TO DIFFER. There was no sign in her business that said I had to pay for consultation/fitting. Every other tailor I go to, I pay for WORK, the actual sewing of the clothing...not safety pinning. I asked her to talk to my lawyer, then she knew I was serious. She went in the back where I saw her violently ripping her safety pins out of my clothing and threw them over the counter to me before slamming the door after I walked out. Fact: there was NO STAIN in my clothing before I walked in her door. Fact: she kept YELLING at me to pay her for safety pinning. Fact: she put an ink stain in my shorts right in front of me. Fact: she would not give me MY PROPERTY back until I got my lawyer on the phone. Fact: she threw my clothes at me. Fact: my beautiful shorts still have a stain in them. SERIOUSLY, DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS BUSINESS!
