Insects and Spiders

Ants
Broadcast applications of a granular insecticide (Talstar®) provide months of fire ant control in the yard. Rates are dependent on the size of the area to be treated.
Spiders
A regular preventative maintenance program will keep these pests from becoming established. At each visit we will apply a band of residual insecticide around the perimeter of your home, creating a barrier against outside invaders. We will treat any paper wasps and spiders nesting under the eaves of the house. The yard will be scouted for fire ant mounds and treated. Inside, spot treatments will be made under the kitchen and bathroom sinks, under appliances, along door thresholds, and in other appropriate areas. We use professional pest control products such as Suspend®, Maxforce® ant & cockroach baits, Talstar® granules, and Avert® baits.
Termites
Rick Story is available for consulting in areas related to termites and other wood destroying insects, as well as general pest control. He has experience in serving as both a consultant and as an expert witness.
Fleas
Fleas may be present in the yard, in the house, or both depending on where the pet(s) live. Flea control in the yard is accomplished with a broadcast spray of Talstar®. The insecticide kills fleas on contact and leaves a residual control that continues to kill fleas as they emerge from eggs. Indoors, a combination of Talstar® and Precor® (a growth hormone) is applied to carpets, floors, upholstered furniture and other areas where pets spend time. Prices depend on the square footage of house and yard.
Cockroaches
A multitude of pests may be found in houses. Cockroaches, ants, carpet beetles, pantry pests (beetles, moths), silverfish, spiders and others may dwell in your home. These pests generally gain access to your house from outdoors. There are also several outdoor pests such as fire ants, wasps, spiders and yellow jackets.
Silverfish
Pests controlled include termites, cockroaches, ants, silverfish, spiders, fleas, crickets, wasps, millipedes, and carpet beetles, and others.
Bees
Yellow jackets, hornets, honey bees, and bumble bees will be controlled using Sevin® dust. Rates are $80.00 for nests at ground level.
