My family used to frequent this market often. We would spend hundreds and hundreds here in a week's time. Two days ago, we picked up 20lbs of crawfish and decided we wanted to get more, so yesterday evening (January 7th, 2016), we got another 20lbs! That's $220 spent at this place in two days!!! But too bad these crawfish were ROTTEN! Not even edible. When I called and spoke with a manager, there was "nothing she could do for me". Even the business doesn't back their own product! And when I told her we will be going elsewhere from now on, she didn't care. Horrible form. Horrible management. Horrible business practice! DO NOT come here! I cannot stress this enough! There are too many other great seafood markets around to waste your money here. We will never return. Period.

I bought a dozen crabs from the Perkins store. Of the 12 crabs, 4 were just about totally empty of meat. When you picked them up you could tell that they would be bad. Those kind of crabs should be thrown out and not given as part of the order.
The prices are reasonable. Fried catfish nuggets, fried chicken, shrimp, turkey wings&necks,LoMein, red beans/rice,potato wedges...etc
Fresh Seafood at a fair price. Friendly service and seafood is usually available before other markets.
Best boiled crawfish in Baton Rouge. We are from Houma so we know.
best breakfast in town!!!
Seriously this place has turned out to be a pathetic joke in every way. I've came here for years, but have recently veered away to other seafood markets. First you never know if they're going to have crabs or crawfish hot or live. When everyone else in town is selling, these guys are making excuses as to why they cannot get the seafood. Secondly the taste of boiled seafood has gone downhill, I guess it depends on who's boiling. Also as another stated lots of "straight tails". I'm wondering if they don't reheat cold crawfish as the rubbery texture makes it seem that way. (Seems like every time the old blond haired guy is working the food isn't good and he makes sure to treat you like scum.) Last it is obvious when you go in that people who are more "regulars" or "friends" are treated better and everyone else is treated like 2nd rate citizens. From what I've heard the better sacks of crawfish are kept for the regular customers. The place is filthy nowadays as well, I wouldn't eat anything hot from here. I'm guessing maybe different owners now. There's to many other places close by to get better seafood and better service, as well as being treated properly. Pricing is high as well as others have stated. Definitely a "Has Been".
I have tried MANY others, and while the others are good, if you are a cajun and know anything about seafood, you could tell that Jimbo's is indeed the best. Yes, they are more expensive, but they sell "little lobsters", no babies. And, the best flavor ANYWHERE! They are always consistent, nice and busy, for a good reason. I have gone to them for years. Everytime I want crawfish, if I do decide to save $10.00, it is NOT worth saving, I always end up kicking myself until I get my Jimbo's fix!

The food they have is great. It doesn't take long and the atmosphere is really laid back. Definitely a place I will continue to go to in the future and definitely recommended for anyone tired of the same old same old.
