To sellers: you are told that they sale it at a third of retail and give you a third of what they sale it for. Don't be afraid to whip out your phone and see what it retails for. I started doing this as a result of their irritation with my questioning the payout. I felt like an honest company would be more than happy to show you how fair they are. Integrity is everything, right? Well guess what?! Depending on if it's a big ticket item or not, they may sale it at half of retail and still give you a third. Please look it up, with an exception of clothes and books. They appear to always be reasonably priced. You also want to be aware of which employees are working when you go to sell. The quality of what's acceptable for them to purchase is very subjective. I have seen many items worn and sometimes stained which were available for purchase,but then had my items turned away that were in better condition than some of the items available for purchase. I've also had to ask why items in perfect condition were turned away only to have them accepted at that point. A few of the employees lack professionalism like you wouldn't believe. It would be tacky to name names, and pointless, being that they don't wear name tags.To buyers: ditto on looking up the retail value of items, excluding clothes and books. Fortunately, your check-out experience will be better than your selling experience. The clothes are generally where they belong and they tend to express their happiness with you purchasing. There are a lot of great buys and although there are a lot of things to go through, it's shoppable.

I do not normally write bad reviews, and usually chalk bad service down to a bad day..however i feel the need to share my recent experience, which was yesterday...My son and I went to ps to make a purchase and service stunk from the moment we walked in, until we walked out the door. 3 workers - all 3 dry personalities, no hello, no smiles. When I asked a question, it was like - how dare I?! 3 workers and all 3 horrible.. That's a problem.. Not a bad day. Also, was overcharged and had to question.. Cashier was obviously annoyed to have to walk to another worker to ask.. Then she made the change and forced a smile and a scripted - thank you at the end of purchase. Not impressed.
