Evergreen lake is a nice campground, great prices for families on a budget to experience camping. There is swimming at the lake, a playground for the little kids, a small arcade with classic games. Close to many local attractions. My sisters and I ran around evergreen lake from age 3-16 yrs of age catching frogs, turtles, fishing, swimming and just being kids. I am 21 yrs old now and still go camping there whenever I can. You can bring your dogs but your dog must be in your control at all times and you have to clean up after your pet which is only a matter of good manners. My advice to anyone who wants to camp there, Read the rules, obey the rules and your time there will be nice.
This is a very nicely kept campground. It has a beautiful lake and the people who work there are nice. They have a huge field that could easily fit a pool, yet they don't have one. That is why my rating is not as high. They have paddle and row boats and pay fishing (another downside). Unfortunately, all of the spots are shaded and therefore it can get kind of chilly and the ground is covered in sticks, acorns and rocks (this was a problem the year that we stayed in a tent.) The bathrooms are old but clean. The rec room is really old, and half the arcade machines do not work (and they refuse to refund your money). The playground is also very outdated. It has a few minor drawbacks but I definitely recommend you stay here for a nice, relaxing camping experience. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Travel Trailer.
I am working on a project in the area and have been staying at Evergreen Lake for over a year. It has been a great experience. My family gets to visit for the summer and they have had a great time every time they have been here. The lake is nice and the kids love swimming at the beach area. There are activities for adults and kids scheduled throughout the season. The staff is nice and the campground is neat and clean. The location is away from towns but you can be in Allentown or the Poconos in minutes. I would highly recommend this campground. Follow the rules, especially the pet rules, be kind, and you will have a great time. If you do have an issue of any kind, let the office know and they will take care of it. Happy camping. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
It is a resort campground. The ponds and swimming areas are across a country road from the RV park which is off the road and into the trees. It is a little tight with the trees and shrubs. It seems to have a lot of RV's set in place for the season and some a lot longer. Had small laundry, but big kids arcade room. Great for families. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Motorhome.
The campground is very clean and quiet. The staff is very nice. There are many activities on the weekends and the beach area is very clean. We enjoyed the mini golf also. I've been camping here for nine years and love it. My pets also enjoy taking walks around the campgrounds. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Evergreen is a real camping experience for families. Go hiking on the trails 1/2 mile down the road, swim at the lake, ride bikes, play ball in the field. Campground is clean and well kept. quiet hours are 10pm-8am and you may walk your pets around the campground on leash. The staff is friendly and expect campers to read and obey the rules so everyone has an enjoyable experience. There are grocery stores and eateries within 15 minutes either direction Bath/Windgap. Saylorsburg flea market is approx. 20 minutes away. Pocono raceway is within 30 minutes of the campground. The camp office has ice/candy/ice cream/snacks/sunscreen/repellents etc. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice campground; beautiful scenery. No pool but lake swimming. Is great for a true camping experience. Sites were nice size. Sstaff was friendly and our family had a great weekend. Rules are enforced which was really nice. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Travel Trailer.
I have been camping at Evergreen lake for the last ten years. It is a beautifully kept campground and the rules are fair. Quite hours are from 11pm to 8am which is nice. My dogs enjoy their walks around the campground. Very nice place, I recommend it to all. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Travel Trailer.
I Spent my entire childhood camping at Evergreen Lake. My sisters and I drove the staff and the owner nuts but they were always nice to us unless we got into something we shouldn't have but even then we knew we deserved it. I'm 19 now and I still love it there. It is the place for families to go if they want to spend time together. There may not be a fancy pool but swimming in the lake is awesome. Mini golf, fishing, paddle boating for a fee and a big field to play any kind of sport. In the area you can go horseback riding, hiking on trails, go to the flea market or Pocono raceway. I have never seen the staff act rude toward visitors. I have seen visitors treat the staff and owner bad and they say you get what you receive. Try it for yourself and then you'll see how beautiful this place is. If you read and follow the rules it will make it nice for everyone.
My family has been at Evergreen Lake Campground for months and we enjoy the campground and also the people are very friendly and helpful. We have not had any trouble with anything nice place for a family camping trip and would recommend Evergreen Lake Campground.
Owner is a jerk. Cares more about his grass than peoples safety during a bad thunderstorm. Would not allow more that 2 cars to go up and get people from the pavilion. Also upset the bride on her wedding day. Who does that!!? Would not recommend to anyone!!!
I have been a permanent camper here for 7 years now,. Evergreen Lake Campground is quiet and friendly. Nice wooded lots with electric hookup in all and a few with sewer hookup. Rules are posted and flyers handed out to new arrivals.Clean bathhouses and laundry facilities. Game room for the kids.Lake with beach for swimming, and fishing in the rest of the lake The owner is very nice and easy to talk to. I would recommend this campground to anyone.
We are going on our 5th year camping there and I have never experienced what these other reviews say! This campground is beautiful and quiet. Rules are posted and also given to you when you rent campsite or plan a day fishing or boating..... my kids love spending the day at the lake.... staff and owner are always friendly... thisnplace is very clean.....
The reviews are not what I experienced at all. I have been to two wedding at Evergreen Lake. They were both beautiful and had none of the bad experiences that the other reviewers had. It is a beautiful location for a special occasion. I have not stayed in the camp ground, but I do know that all rules are clearly stated before you rent a site. My husband and I have gone fishing at Evergreen lake several times. It is a beautiful and inexpensive day on a lake, in fact we will be going back soon. Can't wait
evergreen lake is a weird place to go , that owner is weird all he dose is rides around all day , and there was a creep that lived there named stevie he was a perv , i had a friend who lived there , all his family had to pay to visit him , that guy who owns the place rides around by 10pm to make sure campers have all lites out by 10, it a strange place , it gave me the creeps

Unfortunately I have to make a comment here regarding a review I just finished reading below.
The operative words used here by ScouseWife 87 are exactly what she states, CHEAP.
You get what you pay for and when you choose not to pay for anything that's exactly what you should get.
I have been to Evergreen on many occasions and have utilized the services and facitities for several of my own functions with quite a different result and with much success.
It seems to me that when you plan things on the cheap that is what you will get and to expect someone else to cover your own frugality then you are the one to blame.
I have also had the opportunity to utilize both Evergreens caterer and my own and in any case each must supply all the necessary equipment and supplies for the event.
There are just the facilities and the beautiful location. Anyone with half a brain would realize that when booking your function there. It's not Evergreens event or wedding it's your own and you own it.
