The campground is very clean and quiet. The staff is very nice. There are many activities on the weekends and the beach area is very clean. We enjoyed the mini golf also. I've been camping here for nine years and love it. My pets also enjoy taking walks around the campgrounds. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Evergreen is a real camping experience for families. Go hiking on the trails 1/2 mile down the road, swim at the lake, ride bikes, play ball in the field. Campground is clean and well kept. quiet hours are 10pm-8am and you may walk your pets around the campground on leash. The staff is friendly and expect campers to read and obey the rules so everyone has an enjoyable experience. There are grocery stores and eateries within 15 minutes either direction Bath/Windgap. Saylorsburg flea market is approx. 20 minutes away. Pocono raceway is within 30 minutes of the campground. The camp office has ice/candy/ice cream/snacks/sunscreen/repellents etc. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Travel Trailer.
I Spent my entire childhood camping at Evergreen Lake. My sisters and I drove the staff and the owner nuts but they were always nice to us unless we got into something we shouldn't have but even then we knew we deserved it. I'm 19 now and I still love it there. It is the place for families to go if they want to spend time together. There may not be a fancy pool but swimming in the lake is awesome. Mini golf, fishing, paddle boating for a fee and a big field to play any kind of sport. In the area you can go horseback riding, hiking on trails, go to the flea market or Pocono raceway. I have never seen the staff act rude toward visitors. I have seen visitors treat the staff and owner bad and they say you get what you receive. Try it for yourself and then you'll see how beautiful this place is. If you read and follow the rules it will make it nice for everyone.
My family has been at Evergreen Lake Campground for months and we enjoy the campground and also the people are very friendly and helpful. We have not had any trouble with anything nice place for a family camping trip and would recommend Evergreen Lake Campground.
Owner is a jerk. Cares more about his grass than peoples safety during a bad thunderstorm. Would not allow more that 2 cars to go up and get people from the pavilion. Also upset the bride on her wedding day. Who does that!!? Would not recommend to anyone!!!
I have been a permanent camper here for 7 years now,. Evergreen Lake Campground is quiet and friendly. Nice wooded lots with electric hookup in all and a few with sewer hookup. Rules are posted and flyers handed out to new arrivals.Clean bathhouses and laundry facilities. Game room for the kids.Lake with beach for swimming, and fishing in the rest of the lake The owner is very nice and easy to talk to. I would recommend this campground to anyone.
We are going on our 5th year camping there and I have never experienced what these other reviews say! This campground is beautiful and quiet. Rules are posted and also given to you when you rent campsite or plan a day fishing or boating..... my kids love spending the day at the lake.... staff and owner are always friendly... thisnplace is very clean.....
The reviews are not what I experienced at all. I have been to two wedding at Evergreen Lake. They were both beautiful and had none of the bad experiences that the other reviewers had. It is a beautiful location for a special occasion. I have not stayed in the camp ground, but I do know that all rules are clearly stated before you rent a site. My husband and I have gone fishing at Evergreen lake several times. It is a beautiful and inexpensive day on a lake, in fact we will be going back soon. Can't wait
evergreen lake is a weird place to go , that owner is weird all he dose is rides around all day , and there was a creep that lived there named stevie he was a perv , i had a friend who lived there , all his family had to pay to visit him , that guy who owns the place rides around by 10pm to make sure campers have all lites out by 10, it a strange place , it gave me the creeps

Unfortunately I have to make a comment here regarding a review I just finished reading below.
The operative words used here by ScouseWife 87 are exactly what she states, CHEAP.
You get what you pay for and when you choose not to pay for anything that's exactly what you should get.
I have been to Evergreen on many occasions and have utilized the services and facitities for several of my own functions with quite a different result and with much success.
It seems to me that when you plan things on the cheap that is what you will get and to expect someone else to cover your own frugality then you are the one to blame.
I have also had the opportunity to utilize both Evergreens caterer and my own and in any case each must supply all the necessary equipment and supplies for the event.
There are just the facilities and the beautiful location. Anyone with half a brain would realize that when booking your function there. It's not Evergreens event or wedding it's your own and you own it.

This past weekend we took our travel trailer and stayed at Evergreen Lake. We had a great time from check-in until we left. It was absolute torture getting the kids to leave.
The grounds are kept in great condition, the beach was nice clean sand. The lake is really just beautiful. We rented a boat and even caught two fish.
The seasonal people that were there were very friendly. Kids made friends at the game-room, there were a lot of other children to play with and ride bikes with. We even watched a movie on a large outside screen Saturday night.
We are hoping to get back there at least one time before the season ends. The owner and his staff were visible and friendly......
Can't wait to bring our friends back with us!!!!!
First off, it should be less than half a star if any at all. I recently had my wedding and reception there since it was convenient for us to have both there at a cheap price. The ceremony site is beautiful, but the reception site, although there was nothing physically wrong with the site itself, the staff and owner were rude and made up rules as they went along.
Joe and his staff were not only rude to work with before the wedding but also on the wedding day, showing up whenever they pleased and telling people that he would be there to unlock doors etc when he wants, leaving our food out in the heat and there were puddles under the pavilion that he wouldn't mop up that never did "dry over night"
They charged us $135 extra for choosing what type of beer we wanted, only to find out that the "2 kegs we ordered" were not ordered at all and not even full kegs and were left over from a previous party, making the beer flat and old.
The bartender was very rude to my guests and wouldn't fill their glasses all the way, because the beer would "get too warm" even though we are the ones that supposedly paid for the beer (He just didn't want to have to tap a new keg).
The alcohol we brought for specific guests could not be used and the bartender told them that they had no soda for mixers, even though we provided all the soda, so he lied to our guests.
The electric for this facility all came from the same source making the DJs music sound very muffled due to the amount of electricity filtering through the same circuit.
The person setting up the food was not allowed in and out of the cooler even though we were told we could. Joe also helped himself to our beer and was cursing at our guests who were looking for anything that may have been left behind and also cursed at one for driving on his grass (which he did not know he couldn't do).
We had to start cleaning up at 8pm, an hour before we ABSOLUTELY had to be off the premises, while Joe supervised with beer in hand and chatted it up with the bartender.
Top top it off, because we catered the reception ourselves we had to pay $350 for a insurance policy for a 5 hour event....
I do not recommend going to this place for a party of any kind. The staff are not worth the money we gave them, they do not respect you or your guests, or wishes.

Management is vague, inconsistent and not at all accommadating. We chose this Pavilion site for a party. We paid per person. We were informed that we must use their bartenders, cups would be provided. Later we learned that no other bar supplies were available. Ice, ice scope, straws, cocktail napkins, pitchers, mixed drink cups ( the bartender was not permitted to serve mixed drinks in the 8oz beer cups which were included), even a bar rag we supplied by us. Beer was included but we could not chose the beer, if we wished to have a particular brand of beer it was an additional cost. We were promised 2 bartenders but only recieved 1 for a fee. We purchased top shelf liquor for our party only to learn minutes before our guests arrived that we needed to limit the drinks to 1 type of alcohol and soda. During party we learned that pitchers were not permitted. We were charged for 4 kegs, unused kegs were returned, managment kept the refund money. We could rent the site for only 5 hours, the party absolutely needed to end by 9pm.
Customer service at Evergreen Lake is abismal. We were misled and mistreated and cheated.

We had the worst site. We had no electric on the first night until late into the evening. We lost money at the arcade (we were refunded), the paddle boats were not the best, everything you wanted to do cost so much extra (should be included), our guests were treated poorly, we will not be going back again.
