        My family and I attempted to stay at this hotel in the middle of July 2013. When we opened our room door (#5) we were greeted by a very dated decor, several stains on the old maroon carpeting and an old musty smell. Upon further inspection I noticed the bottom of the bed frame support in the middle of the bed was bent/broken. I pulled back the sheets to see the condition of the linens and the bed. The sheets were light blue sheets. How does one disinfect blue sheets with bleach? My wife went to the front desk to ask for an iron but they had no iron, ironing board or hair dryers. There was 1 ONE person working the whole hotel/restaurant/bar. I was disgusted with the room and my family was unable to get ready for a wedding due to the lack of amenities. We went to check out of the hotel and my wife spoke to the owner on the phone. He stated that he would refund the room to our credit cards. We trusted him. Well... He never did cancel the transaction, he processed it. My in-laws who had also rented a room and checked out with us received a check in the mail for $14 less than what was charged to their credit card instead of a refund. No explanation for the reduced amount accompanied the check. I attempted to contact the owner 2 more times and left messages with his staff asking him to call me back. He never did. I finally reached him on a Saturday (8 days later) and he stated that we had messed up the curtains, had pulled back the sheets and had used the toilets so he charged us for that. He also charged us for the 5% credit card transaction fee he was charged. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and will be contacting the better business bureau. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
