With the current warm weather I turned on my AC and of course... no cool air. I called the company's main line and was directed to a live body with a warmth, knowledge, and excellent customer service!
By week's end my AC could have froze out a polar bear! And the technician that came to my house was utmost professional and really knew his stuff! They definitely have a life long customer here!

This company is horrible! They don't even deserve 1 star. My fridge wasn't cooling properly, so I scheduled a service call online because it says it would save you $10 on the service call. Well the guy comes out and says it needs a new defrost control and that he might have one in the truck. The grand total...312.41, 89.95 service call, 104.95 for labor, 98.44 for the part, and the rest in tax! He said I could pay that or $90+ for his service call. I asked if that price included $10 off the service call and he said yes. I get my receipt emailed to me and sure enough, no $10 discount (not to mention the entire service call should be applied to the repair as is done with any other reputable company). I call to complain and she says ""you were given the $10 discount"", I told her that I was looking at my receipt and that I wasn't. She puts me on hold and comes back and says ""oh, he gave you $10 off the part"". Unbelievable! Stay away from this company!
Update 1/31/12 - In fairness to the business, after filing a complaint with the BBB, Mike with Central Repair refunded the cost of the repair less the service call.

I haven't even had them to my house yet but I will cancel. I would not even give a single star. They were referred to me from Kitchenaid, as my 6 mo old appliance in under warranty, but after concurring with the horrendous reviews I will not let them in my house.
To be brief: the worst customer service. They could not find my appt when I called to confirm, they called my house asking for directions and said if I did not call back within 5 minuted they would cancel the appt., Several other problems and they still have not even come to my house. When I asked to speak to the manager he was rude, obnoxious and not helpful. I asked to speak to the owner and he said he owned 50%. I told him that it was clear to me now why the company had such terrible service.
I am calling kitchenaid to tell them to give me a different company as I can't imagine how bad it will be if they ever make it to my house.

These guys have a racket going. They come to your house and quote a ridiculously high price. Then if you tell them you won't use them because they are too expensive, they charge you a $90 service fee just for showing up. A lot of people will consent to paying the high prices so as not to be out $90. The company wins either way.
Most companies only charge a $50 fee for showing up and then if you use them they apply the fee towards the repairs. This company does not apply the fee towards the repairs which is why their quote is so high.

Contacted this co as they were listed as approved service technicians for Thermidor, & I had a faulty Thermidor oven. IThey asked me for the make & serial #, which I read off to them from a note made by my husband. They told me the numbers seemed to be incorrect, so I checked them myself & called back to provide a slightly amended version. On this occasion they weren't interested in taking down the numbers & proposed sending out a service technician. What they DIDN'T tell me that they were going to charge me $95 for the visit, which consisted of the service technician taking down the model & serial # himself! He promised they would call me back the same day or the following morning about repairing the oven, but they didn't. When I called back myself, they told me offhandedly that the parts were no longer available & that I would have to call the co that installed the oven. Since the oven had been installed by a previous owner, this was of no help to me. When I complained about paying them $95 for nothing, they became aggressive & hostile & told me that they HAD informed me of the $95 charge. Then - after putting me on hold for approximately 10 minutes - they connected me with a manager who gave me a telling off for my nerve in complaining about their ""service""interrupted me every time I tried to respond & asked me how I could possibly assume that they would come out without charging me.

Came to do a simple recall on my fridge, broke my water line, tracked mud through my house, busted a waterline in my crawl space under the house and left it leaking for 3months till I found it. They deny the damage and say I signed a waiver which I've never seen and now I have insulation under my house hanging down and soaking wet with mold now becoming an issue. This free repair on a fridge looks to cost me almost $2500 to fix what they messed up. Do yourself a favor and dont let them in the door!

Have had them try to repair two ranges. After scheduling five attempts at a repair for the first range (two of these attempts involved CR either having the wrong part with them or a broken part with them), I gave up and got a new range. The new range has another problem. So far, I have been waiting a month for the part to come in and never get any update from Central Repair. I am always calling them. Also, you have to set aside an entire day for them. They only call the morning of the scheduled repair to narrow it to the am or pm.
They will tell you one thing but it never happens as they say. The repairs guys have came out twice to fix my washer but it is still not fixed. Still waiting on parts. They told me it would be fixed by the end of the week and it has been a month now. No one seems to know how long it takes for parts to arrive. Service men will tell you the parts will be ordered the same day but they are not. If it was not under warrenty I would not still be waiting. The worst part is the lying and no concern for the customer. Do not have them fix anything, who knows if they really can!

On 07/15/08 my family called to have a not cooling refrigerator serviced. The company was able to get someone there that same day while 4 other companies I called couldnt get out that soon. A service man arrived at my door, and was able to diagnose the problem right away as a faulty defrost switch. He gave me an estimate and within 45 minutes it was fixed and even re-loaded my freezer!!! What really blew me away was the letter that was left by the service man, it was a letter from the owner explaining how much the company appreciated my business. I was so beside myself that I tipped the man $10 for lunch. I was very happy with the service and as I watched the tech drive away it was nice to see a service vehicle that was professional and lettered. The next day i got a call from a secretary asking how my service experience was. I told her everyhting was wonderful and the repair went very smooth! Ill tell ya it's hard to find this caliber of service these days and this is one of the few left. I wanted to make a good note on here because companies rarely hear from the satisfied customers. Well you have one here!!!!!!

Received a call indicating they are letting insurance handling my issue. Good. I will reserve judgment on them fixing their accident properly. Washer never was fixed but then again I did not want them back out to fix it but was willing and they smartly agreed that it was probably not in the best interest of either of us for them to attempt yet again to fix the washer.
