Dante's Pasta & Vino

The service here is absolutley atrocious. Got here at 7:20pm on a not so busy friday. Party of 4. Was told it was going to be a 20 minute wait. Finally got seated at 8pm. 8:10pm no sign of the server, no drinks, nothing. Finally asked the hostess where the server was, and the hostess actually took our drink order, finally met the server, Amy, she dropped off bread and disappeared for 20 minutes until I asked a bus boy to find me the manager. No manager appeared, instead it was our server who refilled our bread, beers, and waters that had been empty for 15 of the 20 minutes she was gone. Finally the food arrived, after patiently waiting: chicken parm, veal parm, bologonese, cabonara, and 2 sides of meatballs. The meatballs were horrendous, tasting of windex, and other kitchen sanitizers. The cabonara was subpar, unfortunatley the bologonese was some of the worst I ever had, a man with a flavorless pallate could have done better. The fried food was hard to mess up but overall terrible.

A great Italian restaurant for over 25 years.

i use to love to go hear and get there jumbo scollops and callimari app. havent been there in about a year and we had some friends come up from florida so said we must go to Dantes. turns out they serve family style now and jumbo scollops were medium and callimari was fried hated it !!! wont go back. it used to be great

Atmosphere is Little Italy NYC and food is straight from the old counry.
