In response to Chris B. Your dog was a pto that you had not bothered to get vaccinated. Dr. Knowles did indeed tell you the animal might not survive and recommended (multiple time) that you take the pup to the emergency clinc in Boone for around the clock care. You insisted that Dr. K care for your animal. I was an employee at the time and heard all this for myself. Don't blame your failure to properly care for your animal on someone else.

My dog came down with Parvo. Instead of suggesting to take him to a better facility for treatment. He suggested his treatment. It wasn't till the next day I was told that my dog only had a 50 50 chance of living. If I would have known that I would have taken my dog to someone else who had the capabilities to ensure a 100 percent recovery. He is money hungry. My dog died 12 hours after seeing him. He pretty much put a band aid on a broken bone. Why didn't he tell me that he was not equipped to handle such a case. I kept telling him I needed to take my dog to his primary doctor. But he insisted on his treatment. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. FOR YOUR DOGS SAKE. IT IS A HOLE IN THE WALL CLINIC. Everytime I mentioned going to another vet he kept saying he could treat my dog. R.I.P. Mitch. Love my dog. Just got through burying him. I would have paid what ever it costs to have had him fixed the right way but I trusted Brad Knowles. Dog Killer If you rea all the reviews they say how easy it was to get an appointment. That is because he has no patients. That is why he insisted on treating my dog. Money hungry.

Having read the negative reviews about Brad Knowles, I feel compelled to write a review myself and counter the negativity. I had a cat choking emergency and he was able to see my cat almost immediately that I arrived. He did a thorough check of the cat, asked me all the right questions (in terms of his medical history and recent behaviour/health), was very personable, and is clearly very strong on preventative medicine, offering me much advice about how to avoid furballs and hence a choking episode in the future. This was my only experience of the vet, but I wouldn't hesitate to re-visit.
