I’d give a negative one star if I could. This shop put me and my car through hell! It’s still not fixed and I paid him almost $6,000!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP!! He had my car for a month and a half. The exterior still needs work that I rightfully paid for but I refuse to take my car back to McCrays. The owner; Herman told me on the phone; and I quote: “F**k you and your car” and hung up on me!! He is unprofessional; he ruined my car. Literally when my car came from McCrays I’ve had to get a new alternator; battery; axle and “Harmonic Balance” for the engine. The people who are now fixing it said two pieces in my engine were just gone! Missing completely! McCray’s took advantage of me! I was a good customer and paid upfront. I believe they destroyed the interior of my car while doing a sloppy job fixing the exterior of it. I will right this review anywhere I can online so people know that the owner is an unprofessional scam artist! He’s been paid by me and the car is still messed up on the exterior. Thus, I paid him for work he didn’t do! I refuse to take my vehicle back so I’m just writing bad reviews and sending this body shop to the better business bureaau. I’ve already reported them. Anything of value in my car wars stolen! Stolen: all my sunglasses (and their cases), my jumper cables, two screw drivers, a rag and a funnel.
Truly horrible experience with these guys. Spent $2500 here, they butchered the frontend of my car. Now in the process of spending another $2500 to fix the damage they did. Refuse to take responsibility or give anything other than generic form answers. Avoid these shady con men.
If you value your life, money, car and time do NOT take your car here because their negligence will cost you. Even after approaching them privately to resolve the matter, they take zero responsibility.
DO NOT go to Mark's Auto Body unless you don't mind making him wealthy by overcharging clients on insurance claims. He consistently charges beyond industry standard rates and plays it off as the insurance companies ripping you off. Recently had a no-fault insurance claim on a higher end vehicle and went to Mark’s because they are “CERTIFIED but, what a MISTAKE!! Mark's tried to charge me over 30% out of pocket expenses outside of the insurance claim. Mark's Auto Body would not guarantee a simple paint match for a fender replacement and required a waiver accepting a possible non match in paint finishes. Dishonest and greedy guys. Save yourself the headache unless you enjoy dealing with unprofessional people. I prefer to not go into the City for repair work and my experience with them is why. How does one get work done on one thing and the old man does something totally different to your car then don't want to repair it without you coming out of pocket with additional fees. Don't waste your time or money. Their work isn't guaranteed.
DON'T GET FREE UBER INSPECTION HERE! THEY ONLY WANT TO FAIL YOU SO THEY CAN CHARGE YOU TO FIX!Went in for a free Uber state inspection. After they were done they came back saying I had a couple of faults that had to get fixed before I can pass inspection.1.) Driver side windshield wiper doesn't wipe whole intended area (?)2.) Driver side windshield wiper doesn't park correctly (???)3.) At least 1 L.E.D light in side mirror's is out. (I checked it was only one tiny LED light)While I was there, I noticed every other person there for a free Uber inspection also had at least one ridiculous "fault" with their vehicle that had to be fixed before they could pass, and A1 gave them a quote for it and they would fix it on the spot for a cost of course. Anyway, I took my car somewhere else and paid to get the inspection done at a cost lower than what it would've cost to get the wiper and LED light fixed, and my car passed the inspection with flying colors...no faults found.You should know, there is no such thing as free in this world. In the case of the A1 Brothers, their whole gimmick is to offer free Uber inspections and then come up with some ridiculous fault's so that they can offer to fix them for you and make some money. This is the only reason they offer free Uber inspections.I pride myself in being able to read people's intentions pretty easily, I could tell that they were screwing the other people in the shop over telling them about these ridiculous "fault's" their vehicle needed fixed before they could pass. Don't let that be you.
My entire family (4 vehicles) have been using Leading Edge for all of our mechanical and body repair needs for the last 10 years. I recently had them detail my daughters 2008 Honda Accord and when I got it back it didn’t look like the same car. I literally didn’t recognize it. The wax job made it look like a new car, then I opened it and the interior was spotless and smelled fantastic.I am always confident that I can leave any of our vehicles with them and they will do what is right and not over charge for their services. On a prior visit, my daughter was having problems with her air conditioning not operating. Jeff had his Technician diagnosis the problem and told me it needed a relay replaced. We got the car back the next day and he only charged my daughter for the part cost. Any other facility would have charged at least one hour diagnostic time and then time to access and install the relay.I am a retired Auto Insurance Damage Appraiser of 27 years and can honestly say that this type of business etiquette is extremely rare, if not almost extinct.
