In March 2011 I ordered several chairs. I was told 4-5 months to recieve these pieces. Though not pleased, I realize this is not unusual. 8 months later, chairs arrived - busted up. No calls to say sorry. No "what can we do to make this right?" No response to my

emails/correspondence to owner asking for refund. When I came to store for refund, I was treated cooly. Again, no "we're sorry". Just, "we can order again." What - and wait another 8 months? Avoid at all cost.

We purchased a $6K sectional sofa in June 2011. A few weeks later the sofa started to show a light pink coloration on the blue cushions. The pink quickly turned to red. We had the manager take the cushion. He said he has never seen anything like this but the manufacturer was at fault. In Dec 2011, the manager called and said they couldn't do anything and we would have to pay $$$ to get the cushions replaced. We did NOTHING to the sofa. Oh, and the sofa didn't hold up well. With minor use the sofa looks 10 years old (people have told us this) but is really 6 months old. Also, they charged us $$ to get a ""protective sealer"" on the sofa. The manager who came to the house said they really don't spray anything on the sofa so the manufacturer can't blame them. Um, then why charge us?! And the manufacturer still did nothing. They must work at Shofers. AWFUL experience!

Snobby and Awful Attitudes Towards Customers

The worst receptionist I've ever seen. She sneers at every customers that comes in that are not her ""favorites"". Soon as you walk away, she talks behind your back and make fun of you with a bored sales man. If you don't dress like you have a lot of money, don't expect friendly service at this store. Instead of a warm greeting like ""Welcome to Shofer's, how may I assist you today?"" there is always this cold and snobby ""How may I help YOU?""

Furnitures are over-priced and the quality is at the level of Roomstore. Be prepared to recieve furniture that are chipped or wobbling.

Bad Service, Broken Promises

Shofer's furniture is a waste of time and money. I put down around three thousand dollars on a sofa set and entertainment center with the assurance that my furniture would be delivered to my house within 6-8 weeks. I waited three and a half months (14 weeks) before I got my furniture. Instead of gathering interest in the bank, my three thousand dollars was gathering dust for three and a half months in the bank account of shofer's furniture.
