Please let me explain in it’s entirety my experience and why I would NEVER patronize this Safeway store again! I am seeking legal representation as of now as well for racial profiling! I went into the store to do an exchange on 2 products on March 30th. that were housewarming gifts I wanted to simply exchange for diapers and groceries. My daughter and I went into the aisle to double check in be sure that the store held the same measuring cups I was attempting to exchange grant it I did not hold an actual receipt, but this is where I was told to come in to provide the club card rewards # upon exchanging. I came into the store primarily for PEPPERMINT OIL, but while I was there why not do my exchange. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Unfortunately upon me entering the customer service line counter the cashier Stephanie approached insinuating with the words “Oh you gonna need a receipt with these (2 measuring cups housewarming gifts) before she even attempted to process my exchange she spoke those words to me. Stephaine then followed up saying that I would have to return on the next day to do the exchange with another associate. I then told Stephanie I was going to phone back to the corporate office so that I may advise of such horrible service, the fact that Stephanie profiled me and she gave me the cold shoulder during my visit. This lady just didn’t want to do it for strange reason! Pressed for time I then proceeded to go in still just purchase my items that I wanted to get Pampers, Muncho chips, and juice. In between the long line that held many customers with only 3 registers operating I stood in lane 8. All along I was on my phone contacting corporate. I then witnessed Stephaine slow as a tortoise walk pass the register I stood in at this point she left her position at the customer service lane in customers in line- out of the blue register 8 phone rung in the cashier picked up. I would assume Stephaine called to advise her that I had not made a purchase at customer service in most importantly for the PAMPER diapers I had in hand. My goodness I wasn’t trying to rob the place nor STEAL I was connected to corporate office at Safeway at this point right before I could approach the cashier at 8 to make my purchase. I then stepped out of the line with my daughter diapers munchos juice to stand near the water case right in front of self check out in lane 8 in held my conversation with a corporate rep. once again (I have screenshots of my calls) All along I couldn’t focus on my conversation with corporate to explain my situation and it’s entirety because I was sidetracked by Stephanie walking pass me, but by now she has the security officer with her from SECTEK, INC. Stephanie then pulled the self checkout guy cashier to the side to advise I would AGAIN assume that I had not purchased my items I held on the side with me. I then went on to explain what was occurring to the customer service rep at corporate on the other end of the phone, but again I couldn’t focus because I was approached with my phone on my ear during my conversation by the security officer asking to see a receipt for the diapers I had set aside ALONG with my munchos and juice! Once AGAIN how could I show you a receipt sir when I didn’t make an actual purchase first I’m on my the phone right now trying to figure this bs out now so that I could know how to proceed! 🤬 I was BEYOND HUMILIATED, EMBARRASSED, DISRESPECTED and in DISBELIEF by the security officers approach! My mind scattered all over the place Is this guy harassing me oddly profiling me along with Stephanie. The call with the customer service corporate rep disconnected out of this raunt which then prompted me to make another call to Safeway corporate to make them aware that this has now ESCALATED! I submitted my complaint - have a reference number and I’m awaiting responses from both corporations higher management

Expired foods

I went here to get some salad dressing and every bottle I picked up of the spritzer was expired. I was in the store in May 09 and they had stuff that expired in January 09 and NOVEMBER 08 thats right NOVEMBER. I bought the stuff to the manager and they looked at me like umm ok almost as if they were going to put it back on the shelf. I never shopped there again.
