Nail Trix

Unlike the previous reviews I must disagree. I mean, the atmosphere is very relaxed and chill for me. I mean, I go in there every two weeks to get my nails done and I have no complaints. They talk in their language, but why can't they? I mean, they are human too. Everyone talks, so since most people can't understand them they just talk to each other. No harm done. The only thing I wish was different is the seating and waiting area. I wish it was more spacious and that the chairs were more comfortable. They do eat and drink and talk on the phone in front of you, but if you go to a hair dresser or even a barber shop, they do the same thing. It's not like they are servicing you and doing it, they are doing it on their own time. I don't know what all the pressy girls on here is fussing about, but I am from the neighborhood, and Nail Trix is the ONLY nail saloon I go too. Great prices, people, and not to mention they know what kind of movies people like to watch lol :-)

I came in a week ago to get a gel manicure. While I was there, the nail tech was took two phone calls, sipped on her big gulp, other workers ate food in front of me and talked in another language. Not surprising, I came here for quick and cheap so couldn't judge, if I wanted high quality service I would have gone to About Faces. However, the next day, I noticed that she hadn't gone that close to my cuticles with the polish (which will make the gel grow out faster) and that there were bubbles on a few of my nails. My thumb nail started peeling immediately and over the next week, the other nails did as well. Since I just had paid $30 for the gel manicure, I didn't want to pay anymore and attempted to take it off on my own, but it didn't work. I went in today, explained the situation and the manager took off my old gel, or what was left of it. When finished she said it would be $10. In disbelief, I said, "You are charging me to take off polish that was put on incorrectly in the first place?" She sure did and I proceeded to tell her that as the manager, I couldn't believe she would give such customer service and that I would never be back. Never even apologized. Wish I had read all the bad reviews on yelp before going here in the first place!

The staff here are very unprofessional.....the sit around and talk to each other non-stop while servicing you. The place is unsanitary also. I was a long time customer but the service just continued to go downhill and they constantly try to upsell other services to you and get annoyed and speak in Vietnamese when you don't agree to get buy. Not a good experience if you are coming to relax.
