I am not able to describe today's journey in this cab. If I write clearly that will be racist. Past has shown the reality of Baltimore. I became victim of this taxi today. Man $5 over for 1 mile, can u imagine??? Travel plaza to Columbia 100 over dollars. Can you imagine? Another face of looting. Please don't even try again who ever read this message. if you are making money by your blood and sweet don't waste in this taxi.it's not service. it's trap.
These guys are scammers. We paid twice as much as we ever have for a route we cab frequently. It was mindblowing to watch the meter tick at a rate we had never before seen with any other company. You will pay less with everyone else. I don't understand what their game is...
I recently left my phone in one of the cabs, although I didn't know which company I had taken. After I was able to track my phone down (the driver was unaware that my phone was in the taxi), I called Affinity and a dispatcher/driver really helped me out. He worked very hard to help me retrieve my phone, and even called this morning to follow up. Mr. Morgan will never know how grateful I am! The owner was also extremely hardworking and helpful in this situation. I am so appreciative of this service and will continue to use it in the future.
My wife and I used an Affinity Cab that we hailed on the street. We parked on Fort Ave in Federal Hill and were taking the cab to tailgate at Ravens Stadium. The cab driver was pleasant and both my wife and I enjoyed our conversation with him. After being dropped off and walking a few blocks I realized I had left my car keys in the back seat. At the time I didn't even know which cab company I had been it, only that it was a completely red car. So I walked back to the main street where we were dropped off and hailed the first all-red cab I could find. The driver phoned to the dispatcher who thankfully was able to contact the driver of the cab we used early. Even though the driver was on his way to the airport, he was gracious enough to turn around and bring my keys back to me. Without that level of commitment from both drivers and the dispatcher I would have been in a really bad situation. I can't speak highly enough of the effort they put forth. They could have dropped the keys at the office as is protocol, but instead the driver went out of his way to deliver my keys to me. Thanks so much for saving the day. I will never forget it!
Cab # 1074
After an exhausted journey from NY to Baltimore I took a cab. The cab was waiting by the chinese bus stop at travel plaza. I told the driver I wanna go to Glen Burnie and then he said ok then i got in to the cab. So when i got into the cab i gave the address to the driver. Then first question he asked me "have I ever took a cab from here to glen burnie?"
I told him "No"
Now i understand why he asked me if i took a cab from here before. So he can cheat me better if the regular rate is unknown to me.
Then he started to drive and his meter wemt on like crazy. From travel plaza to toll gate of 895 the meter was reading 25 dollar with zero traffic on the road. I kept quiet till the end. And the driver had very loud music on and i had headache and i was telling him to turn the volume down instead of turning it off ( just didnt wanna be mean to him by saying turning it off) however he barely hear me. He said he cant hear with his loud music on. He was indicating me with his fingers to lean forward and speak closer to his ear so he can hear me.
How would he hear me if he has loud music on?
I was tired exhausted and hungry to speak loudly to him. However when we got my home (glen burnie) the meter end up with the total of $83.xx. I was like really surprised. And i told him i dont like your meter he said nobody like his meter but its very good price from baltimore to here. I had like no word to say to him . Moreover he demand tip on top of that. He said he dont take credit card though your website says you do. I said ok i will pay you whatever the meter says but i need the receipt please. Then he said what are you trying to do. I said i just need the receipt i will pay you in full. Then i wanted to get off but he didnt let me. He kept the door locked saying he is not letting me go untill i pay him. Then he said how much you wanna pay? Pay me $60.
I said $40-50. He was telling me many stuff to make me believe his meter is right. Then he said ok amd i gave him $50 and i was surprised. If his meter says $83 how come he is taking $50. It means some thing is wrong here. Why would he negotiate. Then i demand receipt. He disagree to give me the receipt. Then i got off and took his cab number then he came out and was trying to negotiate and gave me back $10 out of $50.
Also he was telling me not to complaint. My overall edperience was very bad I did not want to fight with a cab driver in front of my neighbors after midnight. I would never take this service anymore nor recommend anybody.
I chose this company because they had good reviews. However in our case, I called and paid in advance for a trip for an elderly client of ours over the phone with my credit card and had to prompt them to ask me for the very specific address to get the correct amount, as they were rushing through the transaction. However apparently they had still gotten the address wrong and later accused us of giving them the wrong address. Anyhow, their 'estimate' for which I had already been charged was wrong and the final amount they charged was actually over budget. We would have come to pick her up if we had known the actual fair. Also the cab driver was anxious and insistent with our client, and according to her, rushed her into the cab, asking her to hurry up with her bags after arriving 15 minutes late. As a side note, she is a sweet 64-year old lady. Then after he discovered the difference in fair he demanded the 8$ difference from her. And when she called us to have us talk to him, he explained poorly and I had understood that he was trying to charge us more for him getting lost or going first to the wrong address. When he dropped her off, she said he bumped her harshly with the door and was hesitant to give her her bags, ostensibly stalling to be sure he was paid the difference. He then accompanied her up the elevator and proceeded to raise his voice at our executive director. I understand cab drivers get stiffed, but this particular driver and the associated phone booking agents acted extremely unprofessionally. We will likely argue the charge, on principle more than anything else. In a nutshell: generally poor customer service and hostility when issues arise.
I was late getting to the airport because yellow can failed to show up. I called affinity can an Shack (the driver) assured me he would be there an get me to the airport in Time for my flight or the ride would be free. What a nice guy! After a grey conversation on the way there I was dropped off intone as promises. Nice guy, great service!
