This school in collaboration with the mother juvenile behavior was used to hide and block me from obtaining my daughter and access to my daughter school records. Evening after being provided a court order before going on the property for release of my daughter and state law for release of records. The owner and disservice to the body of Christ pastor refusal to follow the court order. On my first and only day on the property with police for retrieval my daughter after denial through verbal communication. Again, the disservice to the body of Christ pastor stated I was a threat and no longer waited me on the property while present with the police all being video recorded. However, I never been on the property no other times other than with the police to assure a peaceful pick up on my daughter after the pastor verbal through telecommunication denial. Therefore, how could I be a treat. That being my never having met with him or been on the property other than with the police were no threats we displayed or made. With several requests after to resolve and resort trust only through via email. All to current have gone unanswered. This co called pastor refusal to follow the order, after requested to retract his false claim and provide the requested records.
We recently moved from NC & upon reading the reviews I was very apprehensive about sending my daughter here. I can honestly say I was surprised. Ms. Gray and Ms. Trogdon my daughter teachers were very welcoming, well as her counselor Ms. Booth. I am relaxed and am looking forward to a successful school year.
I have two children under two who attend Kiddie Academy of Locust Point. My 22-month-old attended a different daycare before coming to KA. My 4-month-old has only received care at KA. I know how difficult it is to select a daycare and I remember the stress and anxiety that I had during my experience with the previous daycare. I wanted to write this review because I have had nothing but an incredibly positive experience with Kiddie Academy of Locust Point. My intention is to help out other moms and dads in similar positions to me.StaffI cannot say enough positive things about the Kiddie Academy management team and staff members! The Owner, Nimita Sheth, clearly knows what she’s doing and runs a tight ship. I’ve spoken to Melanie Demarest, the center’s Director, at length about her career in daycare upper-management, and she has quite an impressive résumé!Every teacher that I’ve met at KA is knowledgeable, experienced and excited about what they’re doing. Kiddie Academy is different from other daycares in many ways, but one noteworthy factor is their curriculum. Within the first week of my 22-month-old attending Kiddie Academy, I noticed significant improvements in his communication and skill-set. After just one week he was talking more often and more clearly, he could sort shapes, and he knew numbers and colors. I was incredibly surprised and impressed!CostI think that Kiddie Academy’s tuition is on par with several other daycares that I had looked into. However, the benefit here, in addition to staff and curriculum, is their proficient use of technology. The fact that Kiddie Academy has multiple cameras in each classroom and that I can view live video of my children’s activity at any time from my computer and/or cell phone, provides me with incredible peace of mind. I can also access the children’s daily reports and photos throughout the day from an app on my cell phone. The technology they use allows you to virtually “check in” on your little ones throughout the day.ConvenienceThe proximity of Kiddie Academy of Locust Point to I-95 is a huge convenience factor for me.
My son was bullied at Boys Latin school for his entire school year. It was ignored by the teachers. I would not recommend this school if your child is not an athlete and/or if he is an minority. The bullying happened in the 2011 - 2012 school year. Boys Latin school does not adhere to Maryland's rigorous anti- bullying laws, therefore they do not report bullying and remain silent on the prevalence of its occurrence. Beware, this school tolerates and ignores bullying.
I agree with the first review...I have been to this school as well, I have family that goes there. I never met the most selfish, ignorant, and careless adults in my life. No one knows who is doing what, there is no accountability, the principle doesn't even know what is going on. Went to the family night and I was so disappointed and sadden that these people are teaching our future. One teacher spent more time on her hair, playing with it, moving it from side to side, as she was talking with us, then she did getting her perspective and goals across. They DO NOT have the children interest at heart, they have its a @*@**@@ govt job and I am going to get paid anyway.... I agree with the first review, close it down until you can actually find caring, loving and children as a priority teachers, coaches, principle etc....
