This is a wonderful boot camp and I highly recommend it to anyone - male, female, highly fit and couch potato! I researched many different programs in the St. Louis area and this provides by far the most flexibility for times and days of the week (M-F am at 5:30 and 8:30 and Saturdays at 8 am) at a very reasonable price. You can attend as often as you like. Each day focuses on a different area (upper, lower, and core) so you really feel like you are getting a good workout each day with a great weekly variety. Johnny is very knowledgeable, easy ask questions and is great about making sure everyone is comfortable and motivated. The workouts truly provide a great variety for all fitness levels. I have been attending boot camp for over 6 months now and can't imagine my life without it!
Are you looking for a great workout to start your day? St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp is the place to be! I attend the 5:30am class during the week and love it because I leave there sweating and feeling good that I already finished my workout for the day. I have been struggling to lose weight and stay motivated at the gym for the past several years. I need a workout that I will not get bored with but also encompasses cardio and strength training. This is why this boot camp is the best! It includes exercises I would never do by myself at the gym and also adds cardio in between. Also, Johnny truly cares about each person at the class and is always giving positive feedback. I can honestly say I look forward to getting up at 5am to be at his class! If you are looking for a boot camp where you burn lots of calories, build muscle, and have fun- then you should definitely check it out.
I like that its for everyone. The are options for beginners and options for the experts. The class is friendly and welcoming of new bootcampers.
And most important, I was seeing results a lot quicker than just doing something on my own. Jonny works with you and helps you develop.
This has been the best decision I have made in a long time! St. Louis Fitness Bootcamp finally got me off the yo-yo diet train and on the right track for losing weight and getting fit. The workout time is just right for me to have a productive day at work, and the people are great--non judgemental I mean. I have hated the gym, can't stand the idea of running every day, and get bored exercising by myself. SLFB has been a great answer to that.

I have loved every drop of sweat since I started. Since Jan 2012 I have changed my eating habits and going to bootcamp 3-5 days a week and I can proudly say I am down 20lbs and in better shape than I have ever been in. I was always chunky growing up and especially after having kids. I am now thinner than I was when I got married. Johnny makes the workouts enjoyable and he gets us to laugh at 5:30am which helps make getting up that early a little easier. I am very glad that I found St. Louis Fitness Bootcamp and I plan on sticking with this for a long time.
I started the program with a gift to myself through Groupon. I am glad I did! It is an incredible work out which focuses on toning, strengthening , and over-all strength and agility conditioning.
You are invited to do your personal best, but can increase the intensity as you gain strength and ability. You will also lose weight and inches if you are diligent and that is a goal.
Johnny is a wonderful teacher who mentors with postive reinforcement, but he is no push over - so get it done.
You will love this class. I have signed up for another few months and love it!
I moved to the area a couple of years ago from Illinois and couldn't find a boot camp that I liked or that pushed me when I needed to be pushed. Johnny is fantastic; he ensures I am challenged at every class no matter what body part we are focusing on. I go at 5:30am and have never encountered a more fun group thanks to Johnny. Thanks for helping me find a boot camp I once again, love and enjoy!
When I saw the Groupon for this I didn't hesitate to buy it. I joined SLFB in Sept. of 2011. It's just what I wanted. Group exercising targeting a different area of the body each day. There's a friendly atmosphere with lots of encouragement. The amazing thing is that JK knows just about everyone's first name and he uses that by telling you to work harder and that you're doing great. A very nice touch. It's a fast hour and getting there at 5:30am has turned my whole lifestyle around. I enjoy the early morning and don't stay up late at night anymore. I'm toned and trimming down as I go. I've changed my diet and it all seems to be working
You really need to try out St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp. No matter what your fitness level, Johnny is motivating, encouraging, supportive; and so are all of the other members! It is a great group! I joined on a Living Social deal and because I am in my 50s, I was afraid to come to class at first! But that was over a year ago. Since then, I have not only lost weight, but my strength, stamina and energy level have increased amazingly. I will never go back to the gym!
If you would have told me a year ago that I would love getting up at 5 in the morning to go to Boot Camp, I would have said you were crazy. I've struggled with my weight all my life and never really found a class that was both challenging enough and non-threatening enough at the same time. Then I got an email for a Living Social deal for St. Louis Fitness Bootcamp. For less than $20, I had the chance to try 10 classes. How could I not? Even if I didn't make it through all of them I figured it was still a good deal. I was hooked immediately. The class is structured to let you push yourself as hard as you want, but nobody feels bad for working at their own level. It was a perfect match. The gym is full of people at all stages of their fitness journey working together, yet at their own pace. Johhny is amazing and knows everybody's name within their first week of classes. If you're looking for a fun Bootcamp that will push you, this is it!
I purchased a Groupon for St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp back in December, 2011. I have been a member of a local gym for years however became bored with working out on my own. Additionally, I felt as though my workouts were getting me nowhere. The idea of a Boot Camp workout was at first intimidating as I'd seen advertisements on television and read about other local Boot Camps. My first day at St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp was a huge success......I was hooked!!!! Johnny King gears his workouts so a beginner or novice can feel challenged. The idea of four different stations keeps the workout fun, challenging and fast-paced. The hours offered are great and provide for flexibility in scheduling. I travel quite a bit and can perform many of the exercises we do in a hotel fitness room. This has been the beginning of an incredible workout regime and I look forward to staying with St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp.
I've been working out "on & off" for years. When I spotted a Groupon for St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp, I decided to give it a try. I am SO happy I did! This is the first workout I've stuck with...I've been going 5 days a week for 5 months, and I absolutely love it. I've lost weight, built muscle, increased my endurance & metabolism, sleep better, and my Husband says that I'm not crabby (apparently I used to be??~LOL)! The workouts are a combination of strength training and cardio and they change everyday; so you are never bored. You can choose from the “easy” or “hard” exercise at each station, depending on your fitness level. Johnny is extremely motivating, knowledgeable in fitness & nutrition, and truly cares about everyone and their goals. He loves to hear about the boot camper's latest accomplishments. Johnny creates an awesome workout environment with his words of encouragement, rock'n variety of music, and I can't forget to mention his fabulous TABATA :) !
I went to St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp on a living social deal. I am a stay at home Mom and the 5:30am start was perfect for me. I could get my workout in and get home before my husband and kids even woke up! I had never been to a Boot Camp before, so I had no idea what to expect. First off, the location and atmosphere was great. It was INDOORS with good music and some great people. The workouts were intense with a lot of cardio mixed in with weight training. It was great that Johnny could vary a lot of routines based on my fitness level. I would leave there in a good sweat everyday!
After my living social deal was up, my friend took me to another Boot Camp in the St. Louis area that she had attended. It was outdoors in 40 degree weather in the dark on a cold, hard, parking lot facing a busy street with a “trainer” yelling at me. The conditions were so unfavorable, that I could not get a good workout in. I mean doing sit ups and push ups on the concrete….needless to say, I did not return. St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp was heaven compared to this, I highly recommend it!
St Louis Fitness Boot Camp is changing my life one day at a time! Today is my 3 month anniversary and I must say that I am seeing results each and every day.
My journey started with buying a $20 Living Social on-line deal. I was skeptical after doing some on-line research about it, but decided that is was worth $20 to try it out for a month. I expected a high pressure sales pitch to spend tons of money to join. I never expected to enjoy it so much that I would be committing to a full year. It's worth every penny! The cost is minimal when compared to the cost of a personal trainer. But...it's almost the same as having a personal trainer - Johnny is committed to each of our successes and truly cares about our fitness goals! I was not seeing the results at my gym that I am seeing at St Louis Fitness Boot Camp.
The boot campers are friendly and I actually enjoy getting up early and going each morning (man, I never thought in a million years that I would be saying that :-)!

Joining St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only am I losing weight, firming and toning, I am so much stronger than I ever was before. Johnny actually makes exercising fun. Don't get me wrong, it is a hard workout, but worth every minute of it. It does not matter how fit you are. You work at your own pace and no one judges you. There is a very diverse group of individuals in class and each person is friendly and supportive. It is nice to have accountability. I highly recommend STLFB to everyone! It will change your life for the better all the way around.

Rather than spending $90 a session for a personal trainer, your monthly fee gives you unlimited personal training in a small group setting. Owner and Trainer Johnny King is personable and knowledgeable, giving you incredible encouragement with a great, fun workout. The music is fast-paced and fun, and working out in a small group gives you a great support system! I was already noticing a difference in how my clothes fit a week after starting the program, and I know of a woman, who started the same week I did, who lost 13 pounds her first two weeks! But, St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp (STLFBC) is so much more than personal training. Johnny genuinely cares about his clients and offers them nutritional education and emotional counseling along with his exercise programs. His goal is to help people become holistically healthy, not just physically fit. He also offers great incentives with his packages. I bought a LivingSocial coupon, thinking that I would just do it for a month, but after experiencing STLFBC, I'm signing on for a year! Yes, believe it or not, exercise can be fun. And this from a former couch potato. With regards to a fun, motivational, total body workout, Johnny, owner of St. Louis Fitness Boot Camp (SLFBC) is nothing less than a miracle worker. He encourages each person to push themselves to reach their personal best, taking into account that we've each come to SLFBC with different fitness levels and abilities. Johnny is passionate about what he does and his enthusiasm is contagious. He cares about us and wants us to succeed. He motivates us and makes US believe that we CAN do it, we CAN be healthy and fit. Each 1-hour boot camp session is a total body workout, but we don't use any machines, just our own bodies and sometimes resistance bands, exercise balls or kettle bells. Johnny demonstrates at least two different options for each exercise and makes sure that we're using the correct form so that we get maximum benefits for each movement. I actually look forward to exercising now, which in itself is a fitness miracle. I highly recommend this program.
I have been taking classes for only two weeks - and already I can tell a difference. I have done other workouts like P90X , and I am a pretty regular runner - but I love the variety and attention John brings to his sessions. Whether you consider yourself in pretty good shape, or just finally getting off the couch - I think you can cater your intensity to have the workout work for you. So, count me in for the long haul!
