My power steering and amplifier stopped working on my 08 CTS. I assumed that a cadillac dealer could figure out the issue so I paid over $400 to have the service department find the problem. They told me the amplifier went out and needed to be replaced (a $750 fix by them) and they couldn't figure out the problem with the power steering. The problem I have with them is that the amplifier was not "out" like they said. Turns out the wires were just loose and if they actually looked at the amp they would have known that. Power steering fluid was low and when I added more the issue stopped. They didn't even do that! They did however charge me for a hazardous waste disposal fee without removing ANYTHING from the car. The service department is a joke. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone. I have since told a friend of my issues with my amplifier he offered to take a look at it and realized very fast what the problem was and fixed it without new parts. I paid my friend 200$ just because I was so happy to have saved 500$ and now have sound in my car. Thanks Cadillac.....
They are more than happy to sell you a car but after it's sold, you are on your own! Service is terrible.
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I wanted to make sure if anyone is thinking about getting a new vehicle I would recommend at least stopping by and asking for Jason Moore. I thought I would share my experience. I just left the dealership where Jason met me on his day off to deliver my vehicle. Jason went above and beyond, and my wife and I are extremely happy. I was given what I thought was the best deal, and I was given what I asked for on my trade. (Which I think was generous). I honestly couldn't have had a better all around experience. I even dreaded the walk to the finance office, where you (I) always feel taken advantage of, but it was laid out exactly the way it was told to me, the extended warranty, obviously, was offered but when I declined that was it...no haggle, no debate, conversation over. I had such a great experience, honestly probably the best experience buying a car ever and wanted to share. Scott C

Horrid service, I bought my car there, used, they gave me free oil changes. the oil change was bad, they put a bad filter in, then power washed the engine, ruin sensors, while doing that they broke coolant fittings, and refuse to return my calls. I actually filed a complaint with the BBB and I guess I forgot to mention that I didn't just swing by the local Chevy dealer across the street from a VW dealer to have my oil changed, that they did it for free and every single repair they did caused more problems. if you want to be happy with your purchase or service, DO NOT BUY FROM ELCO CHEVROLET. The service is terrible. Go anywhere else.
I have never bought a car from a big dealer like this before. I was IMMENSELY impressed! I have never had a car buying experience like this. Once I signed the papers and bought my car, it was washed, cleaned, and then they gave me about a 1/2 tank of gas. Buying from a local small dealer, they don't do that for you.My only complaint was that the SUV was advertised with a tow hitch, once I drove it home I realized it indeed did not have a tow hitch. The salesman blamed the computer guys for the "misprint". I was not happy when they told me that they would not honor the advertisement. I then got a call 2 days later telling me that after talking it over with "the boss" they were willing to install a hitch for me. Although getting the tow hitch installed took a little over a month they DID honor their word and install a tow hitch on my SUV. It took 1.5days for the hitch to be installed and they even gave me a loaner car to use. When I wasn't able to make it to pick up my car for 2 days (due to my work schedule) they had no problem in letting me keep the loaner car all that time. When I got my SUV back the hitch was installed (but it was installed by UHaul) AND they even washed the outside of my car!Overall I am very happy and I'd recommend this dealer to a friend or family member.

Wonderful service experience! - Last summer, my mother-in-law's Chrysler's a/c stopped blowing cold air. I called West County Honda Service to see if they'd recommend an a/c repair shop - I was worried what could happen if she went just anywhere. They convinced me to have her bring it by. An hour later, they had fixed the leak, recharged the system and she again had cold air. We chose West County Honda because of their location. We remain customers because of their fantastic service department.
I went to Elco Chevrolet to purchase my wife a new vehicle for our growing family. I saw a very well priced GMC Acadia on AutoTrader and decided to call the dealership to make sure it was available. Chris Weaver picked up the call right away and assured me that the vehicle was in stock and that he was available anytime to help. He even emailed me back and forth to confirm the directions and my trade-in. The experience at the dealership was amazing, probably the easiest and quickest vehicle purchase I have ever made. They let me drive the GMC Acadia all the way back to my house in Wentzville to show my wife. Then upon returning they had already processed my trade-in, gave me an excellent price on my Mazda 6i, and had me ready to start financing. Chris was polite and a huge help throughout all of this. The financing portion usually is the worst experience, but Elco Chevrolet completely changed my mind! They were able to run my credit, get me an excellent rate on my auto loan and had me out the door in less than 30 minutes! I will certainly use Elco Chevrolet again and will also refer my customers to them. As someone that works in the insurance / auto industry, I'm glad to see there are excellent salespeople like Chris still out there.
