I'm giving them a star just so I can share my experience... I find it important to advise you all!!! Doctor's at Auburn Animal Hospital, located at 3713 Auburn St., Bakersfield, CA 93306 are not educated on the Neapolitan Mastiff Breed. Unfortunately, my family and I realized it too late. We have been taking our Neapolitan Mastiff's for regular check up's and the simply "my mastiff don't feel good". We had noticed our young Neo at around four months was having a difficult time trying to stand, and that's when our short journey began with our little guy. Visit after visit it was always "He's growing too fast, let's change his food" or "He's got inflammation" medication after medication. Our little guy now six months was not improving, but getting worst. Friends adviced us to allow a Doctor down south to take a look at him. The Doctor then diagnosed him with metabolic bone disease, cervical injury, and left leg arthritis, etc. All of this in one visit. Our little guy was so bad, he had to be put down to rest. It's sad to say they call themselves Veterinarian Doctors. They didn't care about our baby! They took advantage of our situation, knowing we would pay for whatever it took to get our boy better!! NOT TRUSTWORTHY OF!!
Below are the names of the Doctors our boy was seen by. Dr. Leticia Davidson, Dr. Kristy K. Utt, and Dr. Ann M. Hamilton ... What A Shame !
Dr. Utt is the Vet at Auburn Animal Hospital. Although I have only lived here 2 years, I sought her out as she was close to my home and I thought I would test the waters.
Dr Utt loves animals, and the animals know it. She diagnosed my Maggie, who had previously had 3 surgeries and whom I had spent over $6,000 on as none of the vets I had taken her to knew what was wrong with her. So we treated symptoms.
Dr. Utt took one look, this was a wellness check, and after reading her medical records I had brought, stated she looks like she has a lot of Wheaton Terrier in her.
Yes she does, and Wheatons are subject to a disease that effects their pancrease, intestinal tract and many other symptoms. . . Sure enough 2 years ago last month, Dr. Utt put her on a powder that supplies my girl with what she can't produce herself. Special food and she is good to go.
Maggie has not had 1, not 1 incident of her diease, yes she was tested and she has it. . . proactive is this wonderful vet. By the way, when I go, to pick up Maggie's meds, the dogs all want to come in. There is no balking at the door. . .highly, highly recommend this hospital. . . sorry, the techs and staff are tremendous too
