I love their food. Everything is so delicious! My husband reserved the patio for my birthday for Saturday July 26th. At first the manager said yes but we had to put a $120 deposit to reserve the patio. Then when he went to pay the deposit he was told he didn't have to pay the deposit. This day was supposed to be a digit weather day so the manager called to let him know if he would like to have the event inside in their back banquet room and my husband said yes. We arrived and we were set up outside in the patio and it was obviously hot and humid. I asked to have the misters turned on. We had reservations for a party if 20 and we had one waiter and one busboy helping him. Our waiter was also bar-tending so it took a long time to get our drinks and food. When we all finally got our food (in portions) one of my guest was sitting for without her food for about 10min it took another guest to go remind the waiter/bartender they forgot a plate. Over all we just won't be going back. Food is good but this was not such a good experience. The manager told us he wanted us to have a good experience and we really didn't.
I've been a customer of Don Perico's Resteraunt, since it was called "El Barrellito's" in Rosedale by the K-Mart. Those of you who have lived in Bakersfield a number of years will know how long that is! Sunday brunch is my favorite, all you can eat buffett, for about $10 per person. Monday night Fajitas are the best! Try their Chili Verde. My cousins come here so often they are called "The Sister's" and are always able to find a table.
But with waiting 10 minutes to get ignored at the bar, beg for a beer, and when I left my BAR SEAT to ask where I could get a fork, was told they could get me one. Did'nt appear till I asked a different girl and nobody greets anyone here. I have spoken to lots of servers here in Bako n they tell me tips are low here. maybe cuz the service industry here is scheisty. more time spent with each other more than there paying customers
By far my favorite Mexican Restaurant! Such a casual, and friendly atmosphere. The waitresses are so down to earth and amazing at what they do. I am very big on green sauce, and this place has the BEST suiza green sauce in town. I've been frequenting this establishment for almost five years now, and I have yet to have a bad experience yet. A must try for sure!
Everythings great here. The service,The people,The chips and salsa...I love when the chips are warm and fresh and the salsa cool and crisp. Only at this place. The best thing for me is the rice. Love the rice. Cant forget the Enchaladas! My mouth just started watering, thats how good this place is. So go and try it. You should.
My wife and I went to the Sol y Luna Restaurant in downtown Bakersfield often and absolutely loved their Happy Hour and wait staff. We've been excitedly, but patiently, awaiting their opening of this new location only a couple blocks from our home. Our patience has paid off! Great food! Great staff! Great Happy Hour!
Food is delicious, grand opening today, if you like Chipolte Mexican Grill you'll love this restaurant.. The food to me is a lot better than Chipolte's.. We got the steak burrito and it was the best... You get to choose what you want in your burrito, taco salad bowl and tacos and they serve beer as well..
This place has hands down the best flavor in Bakersfield! We were faithful to La Costa but since comming here! we will no longer be going there! flavor! flavor! flavor! The only thing I would work on is there salsa! Needs less garlic and onions! more chuncky tomatoes and culantro!
I've been a customer of Jose's restaurant since it was on Rosedale Hwy, and called "El Barrellitos". The Sunday brunch is to die for, simply put: Heaven on Earth. The food and service are always top notch, platinum quality A+.
They have some of the best food in Bakersfield, but what makes them great is the people are so friendly and nice. It is always clean and easy to get a table, and the service is quick. A great place to eat.
