As of 2017... The (local) girls that manage this place are terrible. Every year there is a new leasing manager, I assume they don't get paid enough to last. Roach infestations - I suspect brought by newly arrived tenants. Impossible to get them on the phone you have to go into the office, they have a 4 hour work day from 10am-2pm, with a 1 hour lunch from 12-1. Their maintenance guys on staff have no more skills than any average guy - and they expect them to fix plumbing & irrigation issues, do painting, locksmithing, etc. Skills that require years of training as apprentices to master practitioners where they gain the necessary supervised experience. The entrance gate is constantly breaking or broken and it can take them months upon months to fix it as it's expensive to do; and I doubt the maintenance guy was trained by the manufacturer how to service it. The locks on the mailboxes have been broken and mail/packages stolen, my car was stolen twice. My neighbor also had his car stolen. There are zero security cameras. A couple of times I heard gunshots nearby. They seem to have FINALLY learned clock arithmetic and that silently posting an inspection notice on your door at 3pm does not entitle you to enter at 9AM the next day. I typically mail my rent several days early and they lose it and send me an eviction notice for non-payment when it's sitting on someone's desk. Satellite TV is NOT allowed. You may keep patio furniture on your tiny 2x6 balcony, NOTHING else (including for example, a satellite dish, drying clothing outdoors, recyclables, bicycles and the jury is still out on whether plants are allowed or not as some tenants seem to have them). No pets of any kind with a long list of examples which strangely did not include fish so there is confusion among some tenants as to whether fish are pets or not. On the plus side, an AM/PM and a Dollar General just opened up down the block, as well as a Mexican restaurant (are there any other kind in Bakersfield?) plus there's a (Mexican) food cart that sets up on the corner on a regular basis and my neighbor tells me the food is "da bomb". That's what earned them them the one star (which I'm forced to give as zero stars is not an option) I just dialed their corporate office in Lodi and listened to their directory. After listening to at least 20 names and extensions, there was not a single man. Weird. Now I understand why nothing gets done. I'm sure there will be lots of sympathetic understanding noises... but in the end girls just want to have fun and only a man is going to fix the issue and they have no men in management.

Horrible! Landlady is a real snob and will not fix anything wrong. She will try to charge you for renovations when you move out though it was planned to renovate anyways. Their trying to save their money. Too loud by the street and the pool is filthy. Full of rowdy people and the landlady is a nazi
I have a friend who lives at Westridge. The complex is very nice in itself, however, my friend has had a car stolen from her garage and since she has been there has seen 2 break ins around the area. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone with or without kids unless they decide to hire security to patrol at night.
