I brought a friend to this beauty store yesterday... The owner followed and asked repeatedly can she help me look for something. I told the lady, I was looking around and waiting on my co worker... This lady!!! Had the nerves to pull a piece of paper out of my purse accusing me of stealing. Straight violation... She has lost her mind for-real.. Deceitful Practices!!! I purchased a shampoo and conditioner from Ebony Beauty Mart. Both products claimed to be ultra moisturizing. I used both products once, during one shampoo and conditioning and found them both extremely drying, tangling and moisture-stripping. To untangle my hair after using the products, I had to apply a different conditioner (not the same brand) I had in my cabinet.I located my receipt from the Ebony Beauty Mart purchase and noticed it stated that they do not provide refunds, but exchanges are allowed within three days. I gathered the receipt and the product, which was only used once, and returned to Ebony Beauty Mart before three days expired. I explained the situation to the man (owner I assume) behind the counter. I stated I would like to receive credit or exchange for another product, and was told that there is nothing he can do for me, since I opened the products. I explained that the only way I could determine there was a problem with the products was to open and use them, but he continued to deny my request with a circuitous explanation that he could not take them back because they were opened and used. Aside from using the products, there was no other way for me to determine they were defective. Extremely poor and disrespectful customer service! Would give zero stars if it was possible.
I was real impressed by the selection of beauty supplies in what looks like a really small store. And the prices for the hair are the best I've ever seen. I know they were under new management for the past year and the place has really improved a lot. The customer service is a lot better than it was before and the people there always treat the customers with respect.
im not from Austin and I live way near Cedar Park and couldnt find a good ethinic beauty supply store. i looked this one up and rode the bus two hours to get there only to be FOLLOWED AROUND THE STORE and have employees sneaking around me. I even heard one ask another "where is the woman with the bag. shortly afterward one came to the front counter watching then one came at the end of the aisle where i was looking at products and just STOOD there watching me. i asked her if they were about to close the reason she was standing there and she then said there is a sign outside the door that not supposed to bring in big bags. I had one of those smaller reusable shopping totes you purchase for 99 cents in target that everyone uses because its obvious nobody gives out plastic bags anymore. i told them I wont be coming back and I will let everyone I can know not to go there. I do not steal. I understand that some people do and they have to watch their merchandise but i do not appreciate being followed and discussed and someone actually standing watching me as i try to shop. i forgot half of what i needed trying to hurry up and get out of there! there products seemed good but i didnt get around to half of them
TERRIBLEThis place is so bad! They made me pay $2 for a WIG CAP! Crazy i know right!? At this other place i went to, they only charged me 50 cents! This place is a rip off! I can't stand this service!
I went and one of the girls working there charged me 155$ more! When I noticed and went back! She caught an attitude with me because she gave me a free dome cap... Those are 2.00$. So I guess according to her I'm not suppose to be mad at the 155$ because I got something of 2$ for free!! I paid those 2 damn daughters and refuse to EVER GO BACK!
