I enjoy going to Vinosity for their free wine tastings on Saturdays from 3-5. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and their wines by the glass are very affordable. I've very rarely had a glass there that I didn't enjoy.
GREAT food...Good prices. I tried the ALL AMERICAN breakfast plate and it was great. I went back for lunch and I had the Beef Enchiladas and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place.
7. Best Wurst
$4.50 is a small price to pay for happiness, my friend. Bratwurst, grilled onions, and curry ketchup? What's not to love? I really hope that next time I make the trip up to Austin, Best Wurst will still be there and serving up delicious food on 6th!

From Business: Locally owned and operated neighborhood kitchen + bar in the heart of the eastside. Full bar, wine, and cold beer with a kitchen open late. Sunday Funday Brunch 11am-3pm. 21 and up only, sorry no children.
I've never been to any restaurant that presents the food and wine like Emilia's does. Besides the food being outstanding and the wines terrific, the sommelier and the waiters explain each course. It adds a whole new dimension to fine dining.
I live in S Austin and go to Erie Bean at least a couple times each week. The coffee is good and less expensive than all the chain places (e.g. Starbucks). The staff is friendly but more important they are genuine - the owners even work the coffee bar certain times. They also have free live m…
Reasonable prices, great onion rings, brick oven pizza hot out of a real fire oven, but you have to try the Chicken Basil Pasta. Your taste buds will be crying for more. There is nothing left on my plate. This place is a MUST. Plus, they give you a card that gets you a free meal after a certa…
booya their texican cheesesteak is the best thing in the world. It is loaded with beef cheese onions and jalepenos with a nice little side of queso. I also order their delcious queso for an appetizer and smother my sandwich with it. Try their mustard blend sauce too, I've actually considered tr…
26. Hot Mama's Cafe

I am busy and have a fast paced lifestyle that leaves me with little time to prepare healthy lunch(sometimes dinner) foods. Food for Fitness is located in the center of downtown Austin so close and convenient. The employees are kind and helpful. The food is great; fresh full and well balanced me…

If you hav'nt been to Ventana LATELY DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. Have dinner there, an all new chef instructor team will dazzle your palate and make you not even think twice about going to the few "" great "" restaurants in town. Students or not you will be amazed how great it is, and not have to co-si…
Quick, amazing service and even if there does seem to be a lot of people waiting, it goes super fast because of the size of the sheer restaurant (main area, covered patio area, another small building attached).
So freakin' good. They have me spoiled and comparing every taco shop in Austin to their deliciousness. Highly recommend taking a trip to east Austin for some breakfast tacos. It's worth the drive. This place moves tacos like no other. You'll understand why once you take your first bite. I'm in love! Keep making Austin proud.
Juan in a Million is one of those great places you visit on any trip to Austin, especially that breakfast taco. Come in early and you won't have to wait in line or struggle with parking around the neighborhood. For low prices, great Tex-Mex, there is nothing that could go wrong!
Order the horchata, it was the biggest serving I've ever had and one of the better horchatas I've found in the states. The mahacado con huevo is a must, my friend ordered chorizo and it tasted like chorizo, my dish tasted unlike anything I've ever had before. Will definitely comeback!!
Kerby Lane is a great representation of the Austin culture. The ambiance is very homely and hospitable and the seasonal menu's are unbeatable.
Loved my first experience here! I came here with a visiting friend to get some queso with dinner, and it did not disappoint. We both fell in love with the Kerbey Queso - it had just right amount of thickness to it and mixed wonderfully with the guac. It was also served with salsa, and eating the chips with both the queso and salsa together was magic. We both have been dreaming about the queso ever since.
Delicious and cheap food and drink! Highly suggest it. $1 mimosas, does it get better than that? Yes, their chilaquiles are amazing!
Breakfast tacos lived up to all expectations - and served all day, hooray! It's no wonder you see them coming out of the kitchen in droves. Will definitely recommend this to my friends!!
What a disappointment. They were out of two drinks we tried to order, the waitress forgot to place half our food order with the kitchen, and we had to pay 20% gratuity because we had a party of 6. Will never go back, don't recommend you do either.
