Wong Long is amazing... her skill is perfect and she always strives to give you exactly what you need/want. She had so many photos of other brides and prided in her work... she kept showing me what she did to each brides dress. I ordered my dress through a bridal salon that did not provide alterations, but they referred me to 3 alteration shops. After researching I saw that Wong Long had amazing reviews compared to the other two.
On my first visit, she suggested I get a bustier... I didn't really want one, but definitely needed one after we figured out which alterations to do. My dress fit me like a glove! I am kind of busty and once the first alterations were done, I felt too ""exposed"" up top. She immediately came up with a solution. She took left over fabric from hemming the bottom of my dress and added a ""trim"" to the top of my dress - it MADE the dress... it was perfect.
Thanks Wong Long - I am referring you to everyone I know :)

Wong is a self-made entrepreneur who is eager to please her customers and very skilled at what she does. When I chose to wear my sister's wedding dress, I wanted to ""make it my own"". Wong was there to guide me every step of the way. She's very friendly and efficient. I'm glad I found her.

I came to Wong for alterations on my wedding dress -- a pretty simple task because the dress already fit me almost perfectly. On my first visit, I mentioned that I'd always wanted to wear my mother's wedding dress but that, sadly, it didn't fit me. Wong asked about my mother's dress, and I mentioned the two, thick bands of lace that worked their way down the front of it. It was her idea, then, to incorporate the lace from my mother's dress into my veil. I hadn't bought a veil yet, wanting a mantilla-style veil that I just couldn't seem to find anywhere. But I loved Wong's idea. I broached it with my mother, who agreed, and then we went to work. Wong made the most beautiful mantilla for me, using the lace from my mother's dress to line it. It turned out absolutely stunning and very special given the fact that the veil was uniquely mine *and* that it used elements from my mother's dress. We also used some of the lace to make an adorable ring bearer's pillow.
Throughout the process Wong was friendly, communicative, and prompt. Working with her was a pleasure, and I'd recommend her highly.
I had origially gone to Nelda's Boutique in Pflugerville to have my dress altered. (HUGE MISTAKE) i ended up taking my dress back from them, my maid of honor who was getting married a few months after me had taken her dress to Wong and she raved about how sweet she was and how good her prices were. So i decided to give her a try. was i ever so Satisfied, not only did she meet me out at the car and carry my dress in for me, but she was extremly sweet, very professional, and the best part she gives you the price up front so you now what to expect. the top of my dress was to big, it was too long and i wanted to have a layer adjusted on the side, i couldnt even tell that the dress had been altered, her work was flawless. Wong makes you feel so comfortable and lets you enjoy the moment instead of fretting over it and the best part is that her work is magnificent!!! SHE IS THE BEST!!!
She was very nice and very professional and was a really wonderful lady to wrk with. I really recommend her she makes you feel like you are the only customer she has. She did excellent on the dress as well and you couldn't even tell there was any alterations.

I was so frustrated with Davids Bridal for charging me an arm and a leg for alterations when the dress didnt even come in my size! Mrs. Long did a fantastic job and was a joy to be around. Not only did she offer me a fantastic price to take in my wedding gown, she befriended me as well. Thankyou!

I was blessed to get a great price on a beautiful Vera Wang dress on eBay, but it didn't fit! I took it to Wong and she did such beautiful work! Once Wong was finished with it, it fit me like a glove. Wong was so sweet and caring, she made me comfortable through the entire process. Wong's prices are very reasonable. I could not have been more pleased and highly recommend her!

Wong Long did a fantastic job altering my wedding dress. She is very friendly but more importantly very skilled in what she does. She sees it, visualizes the changes, and makes it happen with out question. On top of that, she is very creative and able to do miracles with old dress, small dress, short dress, etc.
She made alterations on my dress and was able to replace the beading exactly where it was originally. She also made my custom veil where I had a cathedral length and blusher for the ceremony and then used the blusher as a short one in the back for the reception. She used Velcro and it made it so simple to change.
Her wonderful demeanor, availability, flexibility, and ability make her the perfect woman to trust your dress with for your perfect day. She takes pride in her work and will treat you like a friend from the moment you walk in to her shop.

Wong Long might just be the nicest person in Austin!!!! I took my wedding gown to get it altered at a nearby tailor...I picked up the dress 2 weeks before the wedding and they basically ""ruined"" the dress by taking it out instead of taking it in. With 2 weeks to go before the big day, I frantically searched for someone who could fix it in time....
Wong Long enthusiastically said she could do it. Not only did she have it ready in time, but the dress looked GREAT, better than I thought it could have! She worked on Sunday when she usually doesn't just to be sure it would be ready in time.
And not only is she great at what she does, she is just such a nice person! I would highly recommend Wong Long for any alterations needs but ESPECIALLY if you are need alterations to your wedding dress!!!!!

I found Wong through the store where I found my dress...not only did she do the alterations on my dress, but she altered my mother's wedding dress for me (which I am to wear at the rehearsal), and she altered my mother-in-law's 40 year old mantilla that I am going to wear with my gown! She painstakingly cleaned the mantilla, and when some of the glue came loose and parts of lace were coming up, she hand-sewed over ALL the lace! She did SUCH A GREAT JOB with everything! My wedding is a month away and I am so THRILLED that I used Wong! I will definitely go back to her with any alterations I need, and would recommend her to EVERYONE!!

Wong was truly a blessing who came into my life. Originally, I had gone to another alteration woman ""B""--I had left B's shop in tears. With my wedding date less than one month away I felt so desperate. I called Wong and she was so friendly on the phone that I looked forward to meeting her.
On the day of my first appointment, Wong came out to greet me and welcomed me into her shop that was very easy to find. Wong hung up my wedding dress and when I was getting ready to try it on, she noticed a loose string of pearls on the dress and immediately grabbed her sewing basked to repair it BEFORE I tried on my dress. She was so cordial and complimentary that made working with Wong a joy--I cannot express how important it is to like the person who alters your dress--you spend quite a bit of time with this person initially and make necessary follow-up visits seeing the person again and again.
Wong had many photos of dresses that she had transformed. From the very start, I had a 'gut-feel' that this woman would be well-qualified to alter such an important item--my wedding dress! My dress fit beautifully and Wong created a lovely satin bow for the back. At my request, Wong made a lovely little purse to match my wedding dress; she used leftover dress lace flowers to decorate the purse.
Not only is Wong a skillful alteration professional, but she is kind with a radiant caring heart. Her prices were great too! I will definitely recommend her to my single girlfriends when (and if) there time comes for special alterations. Wong loves what she does and it shows; her enthusiam and interest was that of someone who has just started, but her skill is that of the most experienced seamstress!

Wong Long is not only a total sweetheart, but she is also so incredibly talented with her sewing skills, it's unbelievable. I came to her with my designer Wedding Dress, and she did an incredible job. I also brought another dress of mine that wasn't fitting right, and it now fits like a glove. Her prices are reasonable, her location is easy to get to, and I won't go anywhere else! She doesn't just do alterations-- she also makes clothes!
She makes costumes, too! You will not be disappointed if you bring your clothes to Wong Long.

Wong Long I highly recommend. She altered my wedding dress ($2400 dress) and it was beautiful! She added beading lifts to lift the dress so the beading on the bottom would not have to come off. She made the back tussle beautiful! She has such a great spirit and is so sweet! She altered the dress exactly the way I wanted and she always asks you to make sure she is doing what you want! And by the way - She is VERY reasonble in price!! I have absolutely no complaints. Fantastic customer service and fantastic work! I thank you Wong Long! Much luck to you!

Wong Long is affordable but gives excellent quality work. I found her through the store I bought my wedding gown from. She did that alteration and it was PERFECT. Since then I have take 2 other cocktail dresses to her and again they were perfect. By comparison, I have been to another alterations place and hands down, Wong Long does better work at better prices and she is funny, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend her.

Wong Long did a beautiful job altering my wedding gown. She made the neckline into a sweetheart and even added matching beading to it, as well as a beautiful bustle to the back for dancing. She's sweet and talented and it was a true pleasure working with her.

I found Wong through Balina Bridal, although I did not end up buying my wedding dress from them (I went with David's Bridal despite friends' warnings). She is a sweet lady, and she is very precise and prompt with her work. I needed a hem on my lace and beads dress (Style# CT2406 on the David's Bridal page), and she is doing a beautiful job with the hem and with the bustle. I had actually visited another private seamstress, then taken my dress back and brought it to Wong. Wong was more affordable, and less pushy than the other seamstress I went to. Another thing: She is saving me money by sewing in cups and adding tulle to my dress (as opposed to a pettycoat). I didn't want a lot of extra weight since my wedding's in May and I tend to sweat a lot! She is also making my veil, which will cost a LOT less than the average wedding store veil (I've seen them starting at $150). As far as I am concerned, Wong is my seamstress for all future needs. I will be in two more weddings, and will definitely be going to her for alterations.
