Having read all the good reviews, I made an appointment for laser hair removal with Shannon Hicks. To my surprise, the service that I received was nowhere near acceptable. Shannon kept talking on her cell phone when performing laser hair removal on my legs and underarms and did not bother when I told her that it really hurt when she did not remove the laser from my skin right after each zap. My underarms were swelling for months following the treatment and my legs got burned. I called Shannon twice and she offered no resolution, except saying that "it happens sometimes". Before the procedure, she assured me that I would not get any long term discomfort from the treatment and that my skin type is "ideal" for laser hair removal. Such deplorable service and complete lack of responsibility do not prompt me to recommend her to anyone! She was very nice when she took my payment though.

Highly Recommended

After some initial hesitation, I scheduled a consultation with Shannon (regarding laser hair removal on my legs) and she made me feel comfortable immediately. She is very personable and easy to trust with your treatment. While there is some discomfort involved, it is to be expected, but does not really hurt. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to have the procedure done. The cost varies and starts at $ 50 per treatment depending on where you have the procedure done and regardless requires six treatments with each about every six weeks. I only wish I had done this sooner- it's great to not have to shave.

Pros: Shannon is great, parking lot
Cons: cost, though is to be expected

Okay...I recently turned 45 and I have to admit I had some insecurities that made me seek out a fotofacial. I had a lot of broken veins on my face. I also finally found out that I have rosacea. I had been told as a child that I was allergic to the sun and that was why my face would get so red and break out. lol Now...it all makes sense.

Anyway, I HAD to write this review because I know there are other people out there like me. I did a LOT of homework for the last five months and asked a lot of questions about laser treatment. I talked to at least 7 treatment places and I went for a free consultation (somewhere else) and bolted out of there. I googled all of the places in Austin to find out who did the best work. I looked at Wellsprings earlier...but I let the ominous bad review get to me....so I kept ""doing homework"" instead of getting anything done.

Well...I decided to go in and meet Shannon for a consultation because I knew I didn't have to make a decision then and it was all in the name of research. After talking to her and having the doctor come in to do an assessment of the rosacea, I actually bit the bullet and said...""Let's do it now."" I am SOOO glad I did!!

Shannon knows her stuff and I am thrilled with the results! It's only been four days since my treatment and I can't believe the results! (Still dealing with some flakiness...but my face still looks better than before I went in!!) I originally wanted a fotofacial...but Shannon combined two laser treatments to get rid of all of the broken veins on my face. Ladies...the broken capilaries are gone!! Shannon told me we might be able to knock it out with one treatment but I still have three veins that I think might need another zap. I want to go back already because I completely trust that Shannon can and will take care of any of my skin concerns. I only wish I would have done it earlier!

Awesome experience

Last month I had a photofacial. The results were fabulous. I had a lot of brown age spots. Now they are gone, and without any pain or discomfort.
Today Shannon gave me a Rejuvenize Peel. I had a great experience. Going to Shannon for my treatments was a really smart decision . I am in my 60's and having a lot of fun with my spa treatments. Shannon is a wonderful young woman.

returning client

wow! i was checking out shannon's website for some needed information, and i was shocked to see these negative comments from an apparent coo-coo head. shannon is far from any of these absurd and disparaging remarks. i appreciate both shannon and her husband's professionalism and confidentiality. i have come back over the years and have never once had a bad experience. and if i did, i know i would be taken care of immediately. i have referred shannon to friends and they were all appreciative and happy with their results.

Better stay away...

Well, my experience with this place is far from perfect... I came here for laser hair removal on my legs and underarms, and was initially very glad that there were no contracts to sign. However, my happiness was short-lived. The laser technician Shannon appears nice when she tells you how great the results would be and how easy the laser hair removal works, but after I got LOTS of big red spots (and I mean -- BRIGHT RED) on my legs and underarms, she said that this is normal, and that I shouldn't worry. However, the next day I noticed that some of these spots became blisters, and my regular physician said that my skin has been burned. Not to mention, it hurts like hell, especially on the underarms... Save yourself some trouble and do laser hair removal elsewhere!

Best Laser Experience

I am so appreciative for WellSpring. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome which causes hair growth on my face and neck along with a great deal of embarrassment. Previous attempts at laser hair removal were unsuccessful, until I found WellSpring. Shannon made me feel so comfortable and unashamed. Through trial and error we found a treatment schedule that finally works for me!! My only regret is I didn't find this place years ago.

thank you Shannon!!

My daughter had a mark on her face right under her eye. As she has gotten older it has gotten bigger! Most people ask her ""What happened to you?"" or ""Who did you get into a fight with?"" She was so tired of it, she would not answer anymore. Now that she is going into middle school, I knew it would be a big issue for her. We went to a pediatric physician who sent us to a Pediatric Dermatologist. Their answer was the laser, but it had to be done in a hospital setting, only because that is where their laser was. It was going to cost me over $2,000, not including what my insurance would cover!!! I was heart broken, till I mentioned it to Shannon. Shannon set aside some of her time to take a look and felt very confident she could help. She was very compassionate with my 11 yr old and took her time to make sure she was comfortable. She even applied numbing cream after the appointment and let her come back an hour later so it could soak in!! No body would do that, you would be rescheduled for another visit!! I love Shannon and the whole office. They are always on time, always willing to help and answer questions, and very professional. My daughter is very excited about her treatment and results and I will continue to see them as well.

Unsatisfactory at best

Unfortunately, i would have to agree with the negative review... I did not get burned, but the tissues under my skin were hurting for several months after I had laser hair removal done at this place... It never happened at any other laser facility I went to (and I've been to a number of them in the past 5 years). Yes, this place has no longterm contracts, but instead of assisting me with the problem, the laser technician just mumbled and did not offer any help or resolution. So I had to spend quite a bit for cream prescriptions that my dermatologist gave me... I will never do another treatment here again! Also, it seems rather strange that after almost a year of no reviews for this business, there were suddenly 15 positive reviews in 2 weeks after some other people expressed their concerns about this business' practices... Seems like the owner of is writing positive reviews herself. Scam indeed!

by far the worst laser experience

okay, so i went to this place after having read all the good reviews, and did laser treatment on my legs and underarms. my god, did i regret it later! the laser technician shannon seemed as an approachable person and was chatting about her husband the whole time that she was performing the treatment, but the results were extremely disappointing... both my legs and underarms got burned and are in pain for several weeks already. when i called her and told about the problem, she said that it is probably the skin condition that i have and that it has nothing to do with laser. but then she also said that the dermatologist in that office would take a look at me, IF i have medical insurance. what a scam! avoid this place, it's deceitful and unprofessional :(
