This boutique is in my neighborhood, but I was always too busy to go in. I am from Houston, so I'm a Neiman's shopper and rarely go elsewhere if I am trying to find something unique/stylish. This boutique will be in my little black book along with Kick Pleat (a GORGEOUS store on South First) as my best kept Austin secrets. I happened to go in on New Years Eve during my lunch hour from the office, was in and out within minutes with an adorable ""Sarah Jessica Parker - esque"" Tracy Reese top. The sales girls were helpful, but not pushy, as they saw I was on a mission. Best part of all, the top was on sale! I will be returning for a Robert Rodriguez dress I have my eye on as soon as possible! Sure you can go to the Domain, or downtown to By George, but you will not get that ""boutique feel"". Valentine's feels like your best girlfriend's closet, and while By George (on N. Lamar) carries many of the same designers, and it IS a local business, it's a cold place that feels more like a sample sale warehouse than a cozy, feminine boutique that is Valentine's Too.

This is one of the best spots to shop in Austin for great looks head to toe! They are up on the latest trends and will work with you to get the look you want. Melinda is wonderful and will help you get the look you want. Since the walls have opened between Valentine's and Ven, you literally can shop from head to toe. Be sure to check out the jewelry!

Valentine's Too carries up-and-coming clothing lines as well as established lines, and the people that work there will help you find an outfit for any occasion. Melinda, the manager, is brilliant in my opinion because not only is she honest with her customers, but she helps them find just what they're looking for. I highly value her opinion, and all my friends go to her for fashion advice. Yes, the prices are high, but they're well worth it because you always leave Valentine's feeling like a goddess.

I went into Valentine Too's today and had a horrible time trying to shop there.
First, the owner of the shop was cackling so loudly with a favored customer that you could be outside and hear them.
Then, the owner lady totally was trying to sell stuff to people that did not look good on them. This annoyed me.
And finally, when ringing up my purchase (that I had to select and try on without help) the owner lady leaves halfway through and is like ""oh I just remembered something"" and then some other girl comes out to finish my transaction.
TERRIBLE. I really would not go back, there are such better boutiques in Austin.
