Provided by Citysearch -This was by far the WORST alterations experience I've ever had! The store was filthy, with the overhead lightening not even working in the dressing rooms. I was completely over charged. I paid $68 to get one pair of jeans and a cotton dress hemmed. It's no wonder the store was completely empty both times I was there. DO NOT go here!

Provided by Citysearch -Took a few pairs of dress pants and a suite jacket in for alterations. After measuring me and marking the clothes for the alterations they told me it'd be a few days and that they'd call when it was finished. To my suprise they called me the next day and said my items were ready for pickup. I couldn't believe it!!! I went by, tried them all on, perfect fit, like the clothes were made for my body.
I'd recommend Tailor by Design to anyone needing alterations. They were very professional, did great work and have my vote of confidence.

Provided by Citysearch -two of my jackets used to fit just a bit big and needed one inch or less taken off. I took them, and first of all the lady who took the measurements had a really bad attitude and was not friendly at all. Did not say ""hi"", ""please"" or ""thank you"", I dont expect her to become my best friend, but some common courtesy is expected. The job was decent, not bad, not perfect either, what you would expect from looking at the place, and thought was paying. I asked her what the price would be, and she said ""about $25"", left and went back a week later. The jackets fit, again, not a great job, but decent. I get the bill and, yes sir, not $25 each, $42 each, i got stuck with a bill for $92 since she charges tax as well.........when i confronted her about the price, she said "" I said about $25, not for sure, and did not especify for both""......so it was either pay the bill, or she would sell my jackets to make up for her job.........seriously, she charged me two or three times what she should have. My mistake for taking her word for it, not getting it in writting, and most of all trusting people.

Provided by Citysearch -I took 4 pair of pants in for alterations. 1 gray, 1 brown & 2 khaki. All 4 pair were exactly the same style. I showed her that I wanted all but one of the khaki pairs to be medium length. The additional khaki pair, I wanted short so I could wear them with flats. I got them back and what happend....All were cut short in length except for the gray pair! So now I have 2 khaki pairs of pants exactly the same and I had to go out and buy flats to go with the brown pants. I will never go back again!
