T & S Chinese Restaurant

The only other place I've ever had dim sum in Austin is Marco Polo. Although theirs is pretty good, I like T&S better. There are several dishes that I notice T&S has that Marco Polo doesn't. I've been able to squeeze a group of 12 adult friends around one of their round tables and had a great time. The more people you have, the more you can sample and the cheaper it is per person. We went nuts ordering everything that moved by us and we ended up paying about $10.50 per person (food, tax, tip included)!



I've been to dinner at T&S with my family before too which ended up being an unfortunate experience. Apparently, they were VERY short staffed (like maybe 2 servers and 2 cooks) and had a large party that took up an entire room. We waited almost two hours for our food. Several tables got up and left, so we kept thinking we would get our food sooner. When the food came, the portions weren't great, and the food was OK. The only thing that made things a little better to us was that the wait staff apologized profusely for the long wait. THAT, if you have any experience in many Asian restaurants, is a rarity. Although, I wouldn't purposely choose to go there again for dinner, it's good to know they're one of the few Chinese restaurants open late.

My friends and I were extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Our waitress was extremely rude and not very attentive to the customer. The food was not all that. I was extremely disappointed to the fact that this restaurant was named one of the best restaurant in Austin. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money. This restaurant is a shame to the Asian/Chinese community with their food and service.

Wow, loves the steam pork and shrimp dumpling most and very friendly service.
