I've been there twice the food was pretty good yesterday I went with a bunch of girlfriends we had happy hour margaritas the first margarita was awful so so I pick top. Shelf tequila el patron it was really good but it was $10 and was really small. So much for happy hour prices I didn't mind the $10 margarita but it sure was small I will continue to go there because I think its a nice restaurant and the food is great but I won't be ordering margaritas the waiting staff was excellent . The atmosphere was wonderful also. Thanks for reading

My family recently went to the Circle C location for the first time and had an absolutly terrible dining experience. We were seated in the patio area next to a very large and drunk party of about 20 people. They were extremely loud and disruptive for all dining in that area. When we brought it up to our waiter he indicted he had been serving them for over 3 hours and they had a lot to drink ..that was obvious. Our food took a very long time to come out, when it did , it was cold and not good at all. The shrimp tacos were dried up bits of cut up and breaded shrimp, the Texas Martinis were horrible and not drinklable. When we spoke to the manager about our experience, all he would say was ""I can't control customers and to have a nice night "" ...really ? Do not waste your money, time or calories on this place. Poor food, service and management !

My husband and I have been to Santa Rita several times and we absolutely love it! We will not go anywhere else if we are looking for Tex-Mex. The wait staff is very friendly and prompt. We have had several dishes and they are all amazing. I highly recommend going here when you are in the mood for Mexican food. I promise you won't be disappointed!

My family and I have been to the Circle C location now 3 times since they opened and it is by far the best Tex Mex in Austin. The food, the margaritas, the ambience...it's all fabulous! The wait staff is knowledgable and accomodating (We had Zeb and he was great!). The appetizers and desserts are yummy too!! The beef fajitas are cooked to perfection, the enchiladas are the perfect blend of sauce and cheese and the queso is awesome! I can not say enough great things about this place. If you live in South Austin you must go! I read the previous review and I can't believe we have been to the same restaurant. Please don't let it keep you from trying. This place is FANTASTIC!

Santa Rita recently opened in the Circle-C area and my wife and I were very excited. However, tonight (August 21) we attempted to place a to-go order and did not have much luck. The ""General Manager"" informed me that they were ""too busy"" to take our to-go order and would not do so. If they did not offer this service it would be on thing, but it is more than frustrating when a place offers a service and then does not follow through. We have been loyal customers at the 26 doors location and the dine in and take out food and service has always been great. However, I can say that the Circle C location of Santa Rita will not see any money from my wife and I. For them this is a shame because the new location was much closer to our home and we planned on eating at Santa rita much more often. I supopse our schedule will just be ""too busy"" to allow us to eat there.

I dropped by for lunch and was not pleased with the food. I ordered the Santa Rita Shrimp Salad with both the Jalapeno Ranch and the Cilantro Vinaigrette. (I wanted to try a little of both) The six small shrimp on top of the salad were chewy and over done, but had a nice spice to them. I also enjoyed the large helping of avocado. Both of the dressings were a disappointment due to the fact the ranch tasted nothing like Jalapeno Ranch and the Cilantro Vinaigrette tasted like oil with some flakes of cilantro. The margarita was decent., but I think next time I'll go to Chuy's

I am a waiter at santa rita cantina, and I was actually there the night that the customer that wrote the review had dinner. The reason I can remember this is because she was so rude. She was the talk of the staff the rest of the night......Now the truth. This customer did in fact order the chicken and when it came out it was not perfect, so her waiter had it sent back and had it replaced with a brand new dish. After that dish came out she still wasn't happy and at that point my manager came out, apologized, and offered to get her another dish to go because her bf had already finished his meal. He then comped her meal and thought the matter was over. After he came back to the table and saw that the togo food was left on the table, he went outside and informed her that she had forgot her food. At that point, she told him to feed it to a bum. He then informed her that it's a shame to waste 3 entire orders of food when others in the world were starving...she could have cared less. I know that an entire wait staff take pride in our food and service, and stand behind our manager. It's a shame the lies people tell just to be petty.

I always loved this place and ordered rotisserie chicken every time I ate there. Recently, when I ate there again and ordered rotisserie chicken, the chicken was so burnt the skin was entirely black. I asked for another piece of chicken. The waitress took the food and came back with a plate and said it was the ""best chicken"" they could find. I opened my plate only to see the SAME piece of chicken with the skin scraped off. I spoke to the manager, and he told me this was his idea because he hated wasting food. I paid for the dish even though I didn't take a bite out of it, and left. The manager chased after me to give me the same dish in a box and yelled at me in the parking lot for wasting food. I explained to him again the food was burnt. He yelled that he'll give the food to a homeless guy because he can't serve it to anyone else any more. I hope he didn't end up serving the food to anyone else, including homeless.

I have been a couple of times but I am not sure that I will ever go back. I was in there this past week and this is the second time that this has happened over there. First off we were in around 2:00 and there was no one at the front door to greet us. We stood there for about 15 minutes and we looked around the corner at the bar and the bartender was just talking away to what look to be an employee who was off the clock. We continued to stand there and we were half temped to just leave but finally someone came and sat us. Finally we were at a table, we couldn't wait to place our order because we were hungry. Again we sat there for about 15 minutes before we were greeted, I know that it was 2:00 and that most of their staff was probably gone because lunch was over, but this was rediculous that we were now about 30 minutes into our visit and we had no drinks or food yet. We almost walked out when finally a server came up and took our order. Your service is really lacking. There needs to be a lot of improvement before I will come back.

I've been a number of times for lunch and tried several different things on the menu. The lunch specials are well worth it, in fact a bargin. The food is always good altho not the top of the class. The service is good as well. I wouldn't hesitate to take anyone there for some good Tex-Mex and a drink. The atmosphere is well lit and colorful and i always feel comfortable. Not a darn thing wrong with this place or the food.
