        The tech claimed the forward facing camera was broken and had "6 error codes" and to take the car to the dealership. The dealership informed that the Safelite tech didn't turn on the lane assist feature that they were working on. Upon discussion with the Safelite assistant manager, he called to explain that Safelite were in fact correct, would not discount their service for their mistake, and they would turn the car away the next day if we brought it back in since "the dealership didn't repair it correctly."

        I find it hard to believe that Safelite auto glass is better at diagnosing a vehicle than the actual dealership.

        We were also warned by the Acura dealership that this particular Safelite location is notorious for insisting on putting on 3rd party windshields that do not work with lane assist and other windshield tech. This means that you end up needing to buy another OEM windshield, on your own dime, since the insurance claim is fulfilled with the 3rd party windshield. Upon inquiry to Safelite, that is also true. Therefore the advice is to ensure they use an OEM windshield if you have a car with windshield tech features.

        TLDR: If you have lane assist or other features reliant on your windshield, bring it to a dealership and don't waste your time with these stubborn mules.
