I had never been in a gym before that goes out of its way to be so friendly and helpful. The place is very clean (including the locker rooms) and the equipment top notch. The club provides all of the equipment and amenities you would expect to find at a big-box gym, but with a family owned personality. Did I mention it's only $20 a month!

We opted for the month to month option as we knew that we might be moving soon. I visited the gym on June 18th and on my way out told the man working that I wanted to cancel our memberships. He told me that he couldn't handle that request for me, only a manager could do that. Today, I go in to cancel my membership and am told that I may do so, but need a 30 day notice and I will be billed for another month. I had already attempted to cancel so I feel like an exception could be made. I'm told that since there are no notes on my account about the attempt to cancel I'm out of luck. I didnt fail to make the notes! She then tells me that I would have been presented a cancellation form if I had asked to cancel, I wasn't. I once again told her that I had not been given any document nor had I been advised to create a paper trail so that I could "prove" when I returned. So now it would appear that I am stuck paying for a month that I will not be using. On principle that's it's not OK with me.
