Great cleaners

Our family has used Reid's for years (10+) and have always received great service. They helped keep me wearing an old suit for almost 5 years because their process re-energized the fabric over and over and over. Even today, I am getting same day service if I drop off at the location by 10:00 am. I do use a competitor because their prices are very high but they always come through when same day service is needed and that service is not available with my other cleaners. Reid's is the best!!!

Making it right

I am very pleased with the quality of items and customer service I have receieved over the years at this location. I find that if a mistake is made the staff are quick to remedy it.

Do NOT trust them

I brought a dress into Reid's on 1700 West Parmer Lane last week. After I picked it up (and paid way too much for it) and got it home, they had shrunk the dress and it was unwearable. I went back in to speak w/ Mike Reid, he said they would try to ""block it out"" or stretch it back out. After 2 failed attempts at ""blocking it out"" and 5 trips back and forth to and from Reid's, the dress was still ruined and was not able to be worn. I called Mike this morning and he blamed it on me stating that in his years of doing business, they had never shrunk anything before (which, he lied about after reading numerous reviews online). After arguing with him about how he was in the wrong for shrinking my dress, I asked to file a claim, which he said he would not do. He refused to refund my money, so I could get a new dress. I told him I would report him to the Business Bureau, which I did promptly after hanging up the phone with him ( I urge everyone who has had a similar experience to file a claim with the Bureau to get this man out of business). This man is a terrible business man who gives terrible customer service. He blames the customer for the fact that their cleaning business ruins people's clothing and that is unacceptable. My boyfriend had to then call Mike and argue with him and explain to him that I wore the dress to a job interview earlier that week and it was not me in the wrong. So, not only is Mike Reid a liar, terrible business person he also discriminates against women. At the end of the fiasco, he agreed to mail a check to cover the cost of the dress, but requested to keep the dress. We'll see if the check shows up, I won't hold my breath.

Great Cleaners

Finding a cleaners that you trust is very hard. Reid's has given me and my family nothing but the best service. Anytime something was cleaned wrong they always took it back at no charge to fix it. All of my cleaning has been ready on time. I have used the same day cleaning a few times when I needed something quick and have always been happy with the service. I love how they take your cleaning to you car from you. The managers have always been helpful with any issues I have had.

Horrible- Ruined Slacks

I brought in a pair of suit pants and they returned then to me horribly torn. At first they tried to blame the tear on me. Then they refused to replace or refund them?they even refused to apologize?buyer beware!!!

This is the only cleaners that I have used for 2 years now, And everything was fine, UNTILL.... They threw away multiple items without letting me know they do not offer cleaning on these items and refused to reimburse or offer a credit. I used them again b/c it was just so convienant, I should have learned my lesson, however I turned 3 items in again to be dry cleaned and I only got 2 back. They had no explanation on why this happend. The store manager was implying I was a liar, and did not turn in the items I was claiming were missing. They even looked it over on video, realized I wasn't lying to them and still no offer was made to resolve THESE situations.

Expensive and horrible customer service

I was a regular customer until they shrunk my pants and would not even offer store credit to help replace them. Horrible customer service for such high prices.

Reid - Best Cleaners

I was first sent to Reid's cleaners by a friend and used the one in RR until the one on Parmer Lane opened. I have received courteous and fantastic service. We had mold in our house and while we moved out, all of our linens and clothes had to be cleaned. Not only did Reids do a wonderful job, they stored our items until we could move home at no additional charge. I have recommended Reids to many friends who have also found their service great.

It seems a lot of people are upset at the prices charged. The customer should ask about the charges before leaving their clothes if this is an issue. All of you complaining about the price were recommended by friends. That should say something. They are the best cleaners in town, but not necessarily the cheapest. There is a $1.49 cleaners in Austin, but they can't get out the stain. There is a reason for the saying ""You get what you pay for""

avoid Reid's...

...we bought a special t-shirt for our grandson in order to have an applique sewn on at Reid's; they charged us $16 (much more than the t-shirt) and the applique was sewn on incorrectly; needless to say we wil not be using Reid's cleaners again as we live over 25 miles away and had been recommended that we use Reids...very disappointed...

Reid's Cleaners (unexceptable service)

I dropped off a dress to be cleaned at the Reid's location on 1700 W Parmer Ln Ste 240; it required special leather cleaning as part of the dress was suede. I went to pick it up and was amazed it cost $46 (for one dress). When I got to the car I looked at the fabric portion I noticed it was not the same color (grey to a horrible brownish smear) He (manager) took no responsibility for the dress being ruined and had no explanation for why no one noticed the lack of quality and the fact the dress was ruined before charging me and sending me on my way. He refused to reimburse me the $46 and claimed the error was probably the factory who made the dress. If you value your clothes or money do not take them to Reids!

great service

I picked this cleaners because they do your laundry on site. I have had trouble in the past with cleaners losing my clothes. Reid's has never lost anything in the 2 1/2 years I have been going there. My clothes always come out great. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They always carry my clothes out to my car for me. They also have same day service. It might cost a little more than other cleaners, but you get what you pay for. I no longer worry about going to pick up my clothes to find something missing. They also give discounts for frequent users. I would recommend this cleaners if you can afford the higher level service.

Rip Off

I've been looking for a new dry cleaners. Reid's was recommended by a friend. I went to pick my 15 pieces of clothing up and was horrifically surprised to find the total cost $96. I voiced my opinion to the ""owner"" but he really seemed to care less. His response was, ""We're not a $1.49 cleaners. Sorry. We use the best solutions, and our business is doing very well."" I've been to many dry cleaners in my life, and this was ridiculous. I expected to come out paying maybe $50, but $96 is absolute robbery. Not to mention the lack of customer service when picking up. When I dropped everything off they were very nice. Different story when the customer isn't satisfied. When picking up, I also noticed that their prices are posted nowhere in the store. I hope I can help someone else to not make the same mistake.
