Quality Engine Exchange

Where do I begin.... Call about a long block exchange and was told they didn't have one. Then needed my motor to rebuild. A week later I get my motor back..... or one would think. It was NOT my motor. It was for a different vehicle. Went back and talked to them, they said they would fix the problem. Another week and a half passed. We get motor back, all seems fine..... or so you would think. We put motor back in truck. Started it up for the first time to only have it... wait for it... KNOCK. Which it has never done before. Thought maybe drive it around and it would stop. It didn't. It got hot and Worse. Took to a mechanic and he told use that it was a piston slap or wrist pin in compartment 4. And found out cheap rebuild gasket set they gave us, intake gasket didn't have up or down marked on it. So gasket was installed wrong. Fixed that, KNOCKING got worse. Called to let them know. Told us to bring it back in. 1st let me say they said we caused the knock but not putting oil in it. But that was the first thing we did. Come to find out the KNOCK sound was coming from a piston slap. On compartment 4 and 6. Due to the fact that the bad machining. Since it got hot one time. The are voiding the warranty. And the overheating did not cause the KNOCK. Now we are consulting with a lawyer. Should have read the other reviews before using them. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy.
