Take your car here only if you want to shell out wads of cash to greedy people.
The price quotes for repair are always on track with dealer pricing, often more! I recently had my vehicle here to check on an issue. They wanted $98 to diagnose the problem, then another $400 to fix the problem. Needles to say, the BMW dealership quoted me less on this repair. Took the car to BMW, all to find out that wasn't even the problem!! Good thing I didn't hand my hard earned cash over to Pampered Auto!!!!
Another thing I didn't particularly appreciate, was that I had a coupon for $20 off of $100. I figured I would ask if I could use this coupon (especially since they didn't even do any repairs for me) The lady, Amela, said NO. My bill was over $100, and she still wouldn't accept this coupon. RIDICULOUS. Especially since the issue was MISDIAGNOSED!!!! I tried to speak to the owner of the shop, but I got the line "He is out of the country, and we don't know when he will be back."
They like to save you money through smart preventive care.
Respectful. Honest. Edin and Amela are so passionate about automotive work, they'll educate you on paper (draw a diagram, write a list of the parts in question on a legal pad) and then point out the actual parts in your car, show you an old part and a new one, explain how the pieces work or why the fluid needs to be replaced and in what time frame. They even helped me get compensation from a different auto repair place that had used an incorrect bolt on one of my struts.
They stand behind their work with old-fashioned ethics & integrity. You'll feel like you have dear friends or family members working on your car, who really care. They work on transmissions and did my 100K mile tuneup. They also do jobs as small as an oil change, but it's the kind of oil change where they check your alignment & tire pressure & fluid levels and inform you if anything needs attention.
They're kind & humane. They'll offer help with logistics, like taking you to work or driving your second vehicle to wherever you need it.

Simply put my car was working and then it was not. I was on my way through Austin on 4/16 and while trying to access the toll road my car just stopped. Luckily, I was able to pull over on the access road where a woman stopped and suggested Pampered Auto Care. She said ""I hear they do great work"". I called and Steve made sure I had a tow truck on the way so I could continue on my trip after picking up a rental car.
Long story short I had some major repairs and of course being away from home did not help things. Their team was responsive, they kept me up-to-date on where they were on repairs with my Xterra and most importantly they were easy to deal with.
Overall it was a fabulous experience when my car situation was not good. I drove my car home to Fort Worth from Austin confident it was running like they said it would. Thanks Pampered Auto!

I met Edin a couple of years ago when my check engine light came on in my Audi A6. I don't even think his shop was open but he was there working on a vehicle. He was kind enough to run the diagnostics for me so I could rest assured driving with the light on wouldn't kill my car over the weekend. After that first repair I was impressed enough to bring my ""service list"" that Audi had given me. Edin actually laughed at it. He grabbed a pen and started slashing through prices and x'ing out items that were not truly necessary. WOW. I have since referred a few friends their way and ironically my buddy at Dell tried to refer them to me as well. 3 thumbs up.

The waterpump started leaking in my 2002 Escalade which was diagnosed at my local Firestone when I was getting tires replaced. After receiving a quote of over $550 to replace it, I contacted Pampered Auto Care in Cedar Park for a quote. PAC was over $160 cheaper - plus the parts were AC Delco and fully warrantied.
I have been needing a new fuel pump and rear brakes for ages and Pampered came in with the lowest quote, but best warranty and again, AC Delco parts. $400 cheaper on average.
I could not be happier with the service at both locations. These guys are honest, friendly, and best of all, perform quality work.
Thanks very much.

I took my Lexus GS300 for 100K check up. They did not do a good job. After couple of days, i started having with my car. When i took it back, they denied it their fault. When my car was working perfectly fine last week and now with my 100K check, it has started giving problems. If you find a better one, avoid these guys

My 2005 MINI Cooper's warranty expired several months ago so I took a chance on the Pampered auto. It's the best decision I've ever made for my car, and my bank account! The first time I took it in for a warranty inspection and they found several issues that I was able to get fixed at the dealer before it expired. They could have just waited and done the work themselves, but they were too honest for that. I've gone back since for major service, a power steering hose replacement, and some front end work. Their work is excellent, their prices are very reasonable, and their service is very friendly and personable. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

We bought a BMW over a year ago and it has been such a nightmare for us! I don't think we ever had a good experience with mechanics anywhere. They all seem to want you to fix all these ""problems"" .So the last time we took our car to this one shop in south Austin, they fixed a minor problem that we had with the car, but somehow they ended up busting something else. After we picked our car up, two days later it literally started to smoke! the smoke really scared the **** out of us. I mean we just got our car fixed for crying out loud!! We had to take it to the nearest auto shop, I don't remember the name, but it turned out that we were leaking antifreeze and it was evaporating and that's what caused the smoking effect, no it's not the same kind of smoke from a fire, but I can assure you, if you see that while driving, your heart would definitely drop to your pants. Needless to say I am cautious of taking our car anywhere. Now we're stuck with this antifreeze problem. After doing some research online we thought we were going to take it to L&M auto, which is so popular and they get such good reviews, so we called Bill and he said he was going to charge us $40 just to look at the car without even diagnosing any problems. That , to me seems pretty absurd. I mean if you just want to throw away money that's fine, but I think if I'm spending 40 bucks I better get something out of it. So we started shopping around and that's when I decided to give Pampered auto a try. I came in with skepticism of course, but to my surprise, Ed was very courteous. He showed me all the problems with the car and explained everything thoroughly. He tightened a couple of things and told me that should stop the leak, but if not, then I should come back. He sent me home without charging me anything! Now that's an honest mechanic. So far so good, I just hope that this thing stop leaking, but if not, then I would definitely take it back to Pampered Auto Care. Thank you

I have a 2002 Audi TT Roadster that has had chronic problems, especially regarding the suspension, practically since the day it was brought home. My family and I became suspicious that Momentum Audi in Houston was not performing the work they said they were about 4 years after we bought it.
I found Pampered Auto Care in August of 2008, after a previous mechanic in Houston had forgotten to turn the reminder light off after one of the integral services. Pampered Auto Care didn't charge me anything for that so I decided to give them another shot when I needed more work done.
It turns out that that same previous mechanic had also forgotten to bolt on the driver's side sway bar after installing new struts, which had led to, among other things, that new left strut breaking. My mechanic Steve, who is their VW/Audi specialist, helped recommend a custom panzer plate (because the stock one was made of cheap plastic that did not protect the bottom of the car, and has led most TT drivers to experience a broken oil pan or two) from some custom part makers who he had worked with previously to design some jetta short-shifters.
Steve also did a custom install for me, on the spur of the moment around the holidays (because I only have one vehicle and can't afford to be without my car for too long), of some Koni Adjustable Yellows, Eibach springs, and specially made rear control arms. The car rides like a dream now; probably better that the day it was first brought home, and my TT is up for the daily challenges I put it through!
The prices always seem fair and reasonable, and Mark will call around to various parts suppliers trying to find you the best deal he can. There are never any surprises on how much things will cost...the estimates are always right on. If you have questions, the mechs will explain everything in layman's terms, and will even take you out into the garage to show you what's up.
If you feel like you are getting jerked around by your dealer's garage, be it anything from Ford and GM to Mercedes and BMW, I highly recommend Pampered Auto Care. I always talk other customers in the waiting room who have nothing but good things to say about this business, and I'm sure they will be able and willing to help you with whatever car problem you might have!
I have taken my two Mercedes there for about four years now for all my service needs. They have always fixed what what I asked them to fix, without pushing additional work and with no residual problems. The Mercedes stealership has always returned my cars with unfinished work or additional problems I had not noticed. This has never happened to me at Pampered. The rates for labor are the best I have found (yes, I continue to check around just in case). They have even stayed open late, just for me to run across town and get a part without which my other car would have been stranded. I highly recommend these guys. Ed and the guys will explain exactly what you need and why.

My major reason to check the Pampered Auto Care was the reviews I read here. I?m so glad I trusted them and left my car to fix there. I have 06 BMW and last year had some problems with. I went two times to dealership, and after spending more than 3000 the leakage was still present, they told me that was normal!
Two weeks ago I decided and went to Pampered and since than my garage is spotless. Very, very happy!

I took my vehicle to Pampered Auto Care in Austin because of all the good reviews I had read online. I had first taken my car there in regards to a fluid leak I had noticied and thought was coming from a transmission front seal. They looked over the car and said they did not think this was where the leak was coming from and stated it was the valve covers. I asked them to change the valve covers seals, which they did and I took the car home the next day. That night I noticed the leak was still there in the same place. I brought it back and was told I will have to change the passenger valve cover because it was porous. I asked them to redo the job on that valve cover. After it was redone, the leak stopped. A few days later I noticed another leak and when I brought the car back they then stated that it was now the transmission front seal. I then gave the go ahead to change it, change the transmission fluid (which I provided 12 liters of esso lt 71141), the trans filter, pan gasket seal, two drain bolts (which I also provided) and replace the O-ring.
After picking up the car I noticed the next night that the car was making a whirring noise when put into reverse and when shifting. I took it back to them the next business day. They removed what they thought was the fill hole while the car was still running, and fluid came out and stated that the transmission was full and that the transmission was probably going bad. I took the car home and after reading forums I took it back. After discussing the concerns of transmission fluid again, they removed the drain hole again and fluid came out stating it was full and that they had worked on several similar vehicles like this one. I then asked if the 5HP24 transmission that was fitted in my vehicle only had one hole which was the drain/fill hole. I was told yes. I then stated I thought my trans had two holes, not one and asked what the hole was on the side of the transmission was.
The mechanic realized the mistake and used an electric pump with a container filled with transmission fluid although I still had two bottles of transmission fluid I had provided. They filled it up for approximately three minutes. They had not used the second bolt I had provided, however they did not return this to me. Manufacturer specs states that when the trans is filled, it would take 10 liters, however the trans wasn't full. They had given me two bottles back of the twelve I provided, but if the trans was not full what happened with the fluid?
I still have a leak, unknown damage due to having driven without enough trans fluid and doubts on the job done for a $1000.

Fan. Friggin. Tastic.
Me: I've had some experience with cars, both good and bad. I've replaced alternators, batteries, and a timing chain on my old car. Then I got tired of repairing my car, got rid of it, and started biking.
The Car: A 95 Neon that I just got from my sister, who just wanted me to have transportation. It has some problems, including a power steering thing.
Pampered Auto Care: I gave them a list, and they checked out everything. The mechanic didn't hold back when he described the last person that worked on the steering. As I suspected, it would need a new pinion for the leak (from a hole, that had been 'plugged') to be completely repaired
The mechanic let me know that I could live with it if I wanted, all depending on how long I planned on owning the car.
As someone who knows the basics about a car, I really appreciated that. Then I asked him to make the repair anyway. $650, to replace the part and pinion and re-align the car. I know that sounds really expensive. Its not for what they did.
A few things impressed me about Pampered Auto Care.
* I gave them a list of things to check out. As we went down the list, they let me know when something was outside of their scope, and suggested other places. (For instance, with a car radio problem)
* From a list of things that I gave them to look at, they only found the one problem... one which I already knew about.
* For a pretty complex problem, they gave me an estimate the same day. They repaired the car, and I was able to pick it up the next day.
* They were nice. I know that shouldn't matter too much, but it did. They left me feeling great after I spent $650 there, rather then feeling like I just got ripped off.
These guys are honest as hell.
If you don't know cars, trust these guys. If you do know cars, you'll love them even more.

GREAT Shop, GREAT Mechanics...Most HONEST shop I've ever had the good fortune to walk into. Went in with my 97 Jeep Wrangler, told them I needed a new transmission (because 2 other shops had said that) and he quoted a lower price so I told him to do the work. He called me 3 hours later to tell me the trans was done, it was just a bad valve and he fixed it for $50.00 I almost fainted. Also, when I brought my other car, Pontiac, in and told him I needed a brake job, he called me to tell me the rotors were bad, saved them and showed them to me, and only charged the cost of additional parts since he was doing the brakes anyway. My mother in law and a couple of friends in the area all have similar good stories. His shop is getting so busy now because everyone is starting to go there that you can't just pop in and wait for some jobs now. Go there and you'll never go elsewhere. I've moved to the far south side of Austin, but still take my cars here because it's very hard to find this kind of honesty!

My daughter's VW Jetta needed the headlights replaced before she drove to Ohio. Manager was extremely helpful and professional when I spoke to him on the phone and told him what i needed to have done. The work was done perfectly, timely and exactly how he advised us in advance. With so many car repair choices available, I would highly recommend this one. Timely and professional service is sometimes lacking in the auto repair industry.

I called before hand to make sure they could do a VI-30 Car inspection because we moved from out of State the car was less than 2 months old. They said they weren't busy and that they could get my wife right in no problem . She waited for a hour for them to come back and say that they filled it out as a 2008 nissan, which we had a 2009 so she had to wait another 40 minutes for them to inspect a NEW CAR!!

I get my vehicle fixed in Pampered Auto Care shop. They have very reasonable prices and fast and friendly service. I moved over 30 miles away and still continue to use them. You can trust them with your vehicle and know they won't mess with anything else so that you have to come back. I highly recommend Pampered service.
