Midtown Grooming

I have a 2 year old goldendoodle and took him to Midtown Groom&Board two weeks ago. I was terrified when I came home and found multiple cuts in his ears, paws and belly. Few days later my doodle got kennel cough. I was advised by MG&B that I need to vaccinate my dog at least 24 hours before ... but my vet said that it has to be at least 72 hours, that’s why my doodle got sick

I called them and complained about the cuts and unprofessional service, Jessica, the groomer did not take the feedback well and said it is my dog’s fault for being so “wiggly”
I am very disappointed with the service. I would never take my dog there again.

The experience I had at Midtown was less than mediocre. I researched where to have my standard poodle groomed using multiple sources, Midtown was the most appealing according to what they offered on their website. But, it was a complete rip-off. I called them to make an appointment and to find out what the approximate cost of having my poodle bathed and groomed would be. I was quoted $75 dollars. Which was a little high, but I agreed. When I dropped my poodle off we discussed that I wanted her bathed and groomed. Usually when you have a poodle groomed they bathe, clip, polish their nails, and add bows, which is all inclusive, in this case everything was a la carte. The groomer proceeded to show me how much she would cut and so on. She tried to offer a holiday package, which I denied. When I got back to pick her up, she looked fine, nothing to write home about. When it was time to pay they charged me $135 dollars...excuse me? I asked why it had cost that much since my poodle is groomed regularly, she was in perfect condition when I had dropped her off. They said that because they only cut a small amount off of her hair they had to scissor cut her. It was a batten switch. The groomer had never said that if we only cut off a small amount that they wouldn't be able to use clippers. So they took the liberty of not bothering to call and ask me if this would be ok. When I confronted the girl at the desk about it she said that there was nothing she could do about the situation, even though my quote was significantly less than what they were charging me. She said she would have the head groomer call me the next morning, which she did, but nothing was concluded. The manager never called me back either. Their communication and customer satisfaction is completely lacking. I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone.
