HORRIBLE WORK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
I brought clothes to Mesa Cleaners, to be dry cleaned on 07/14/2011, the clothes were picked up on 07/18/2011. The next day when I was getting ready to go to an event I opened the two dresses that I picked up: one was not cleaned correctly, the dress was a bright white and was now the color of a dirty grey, and there was two stains of what looked like ink or a sharpie mark. The big issue is that the other dress that was supposed to be dry cleaned was washed and has shrunk, this dress is now un-wearable, when I bought it on 06/26/2011 it was a size 8, which is one size bigger than my regular size. It is now too short and I can?t even close the buttons in the back.
I immediately called the Mesa Cleaners? location on 6203 N Capital of TX Hwy ste 200, and the lady told me to bring the items and that she would talk to the manager. She would not let me talk, she was implying that I?m lying; I had to raise my voice to be listened to. She was saying that the lining of the dress should have been longer if the dress did shrink. Of course the lining is also made of a material that also shrinks. She took my phone number, and when I called her on the 07/25/2011 she said she gave my phone number to the manager and that he would call me back. On the 07/26/2011 I called back and she said the manager said to come back to pickup my items that he wouldn?t do anything since they did not shrink my dress. I paid $246.81 for this dress and I only wore it once, I want Mesa Cleaners to refund me that price and the price I paid for the cleaned i.e. $6.99 plus taxes.
In an attempt to resolve this problem, I visited Mesa Cleaners, left a message to the manager who decided he was not going to do anything, as per the lady at the cleaners. They said that they didn't shrink my dress, I sent them a certified letter to them requesting them to refund me the price of dress, and to this I haven't heard from them.
DONT BRING YOUR BELONGINGS TO MESA CLEANERS

Issue 1: We have taken several pieces of clothing to Mesa Cleaners. When we picked these items up and removed the plastic these items were still covered with the pet fur we wanted removed (hence taken to the dry cleaners). All three items looked wrinkled and as if they had never been touched, simply bagged and returned to us.
Issue 2: We brought a brand new (two weeks old as it was a gift) comforter to be dry cleaned. The item was returned to us a week later with a 12 inch rip across one corner of the top of the comforter. It was not a rip made by a knife as it was not a clean cut. The edges and subsequent material underneath had ragged edges appearing as if it had caught in a machine and torn. My wife contacted Mesa Cleaners by phone and in person repeatedly. They said they could not refund the money for the cost of the comforter but would attempt a repair as their insurance required that action. The comforter repair was sub standard (again note this item was brand new when we took it in) and my wife asked for a refund and the price of the comforter replacement. After multiple contacts with various people at Mesa we were told they would not refund the amount nor do anything further to solve the issue.
Issue 3: We were given the run around as to who is actually the manager and who is in charge. Good luck tracking down someone with credibility and any understanding of customer service.
1. They are not in good standing with the BBB.
2. They are not in good standing with the Texas Comptroller .
3. When we contacted the previous owner who sold the business he was appalled at what we told him.
4. Current owners are:
SKN INVESTMENTS LLC
5. If you want to get in touch with them (good luck getting a response):

I used this place because it was convenient, but always gritted my teeth when I saw them toss my (and other customers') clothing on the floor. Little wonder that when I picked up my most recent cleaning, my brand-new white silk sweater was covered with dark stains (looked like it had been walked on). 2 repeat cleanings only resulted in new, worse stains (new purple stains that look permanent and even like they were added on purpose). The manager was rude and insulting and refused to reimburse the cost of the sweater, insisting on more cleaning, and when I said I'd had enough, he hung up on me. I will never use them again.
Update 6/8/07: I filed a complaint with the Better BB, and they tried to send a letter to this business, but the letter was returned. Apparently, this business doesn't care about customer service or handling complaints. Be forewarned.

My first inclination to try out mesa cleaners came when i moved into the triangle apartment complex and they had opened a new location in the complex on guadalupe street. they were having some sort of dry cleaning special to attract customers so my sister and i tried it. the first few times were fine apart from a spot they didn't get out of one of my sisters garments, but then i took a new dry clean only dress there a few weeks ago. something terrible happened.. i don't know if they bleached it or what but they ruined an expensive dress. after gettting the run around from the store manager, i finally met with him several days after picking up the ruined dress from the store. i brought with me a copy of the dry cleaning bill, the receipt for the amount that the dress cost, a picture of my sister in the dress before the dress was destroyed, and the dress. the man said it was the material and not his fault, refused to reinburse me, and cussed me out...i have never been so angry. i left the store irate with only a refund for the cost of my drycleaning. thanks a lot mesa cleaners. i was propoed to in that dresss. if you use mesa cleaners on guadalupe be warned they will not reinburse you for your property when they destroy it.

After using mesa cleaners for over 2 years, and was very happy with the price and service they ruined 4 mens shirts at one time. I immediatly brought them back to see if they could just clean the dark streaks off the shirts, and they attempted to at no charge. ON the second time I got the shirts back they were still ruined, and after talking to the manager, and later the owner, they claimed there was no way they could have ruined them and refused to pay to replace or even give credit toward future dry cleaning. They also stopped returning phone calls and became very irrated claiming we caused the stains. i have never and will never go back.
