This was the worst experience that we've ever had, our waitress appeared to be intoxicated, slurring her words with a terrible attitude, she diffinately did not want to be there. She was extreamly condisending and rude, Chris if you hate your job so much, do something else. You gave us the worst sevice ever, same on you!

My husband and I have eaten at the resturant, spending over $100 ever single time at least one time a month for years. He arrived prior to me and ordered a beer at the bar and paid. When I arrived we were seated and the waiter asked to see the receipt for the $4.00 beer. He stated that people steal and that the is their policy to ensure that he had paid for the beer. He had not even had a drink. We got up and left that very expensive beer. And guess what, they charged my account for the beer. The lost our buisness forever. I also told my manicurist and other people at the beauty salon who are fixtures in Westlake. They have told everyone! Very costly beer!!
Gosh, not sure the person who wrote the "canned bean" review is talking about the same place! Las Palomas is a locals' favorite. They make everything from scratch and actually aren't a "Tex-Mex" restaurant--they are more of an interior Mexican cuisine kind of place in a laid back setting. Check their website for the nights there will be live music--it adds to the warm, relaxing ambiance.
My favorite dish is a special chile relleno stuffed with meat, nuts and raisins. We're also big fans of their mole, tres marias enchiladas, puntas ala mexicana or chipotle and caldo tlalpeno (chicken soup). Their Yucatan specialties with pibil sauce are delicious.

We ordered the fish tacos for lunch and the fish had a very unfamiliar, unappetizing taste. The rice was dry and clumpy. The beans were obviously canned. The salsa was the only somewhat appetizing part of our meal. I am not very particular but this had to be the worst ""mexican"" food ive ever had. It all seemed to have been prepackaged.

This place has something for EVERYONE! The food is fresh and clean and so flavorful, and I've never had a bad experience in my 20+ years of dining here. The tortilla soup and the spicy ""Al Chipolte"" fajitas are the best in town - hands down, and the desserts and margaritas are sooooo good, too!!!!
