I came across this gem after running around town trying to find someone to fix my flat and let me tell ya, what a blessing! Thank you to Larry and your team for taking care of me and getting my car back on the road again! I will forever be a customer!

Liars and crooks. I brought my car in for lamp socket repair. They ordered a generic lamp socket that did not fit into my car''s lamp at all! The socket shape is completely different! Instead of ordering the correct part and fix it right away, the service adviser, Chris Randall, and his technicians said my car was all fixed up and charged me the same amount of money the dealership would. Only that Lamb's did not fix the broken part. Avoid at all cost!

They misdiagnosed my car, costs me $600+. I wanted to eliminate a noise coming from car front, said changing CV joints is a must. I paid for it and... the noise is there. I notified them, they said the noise has no solution, did not offer a credit or refund the money, insolent and careless. After 6 years being their customer, will come never again.

State inspection WARNING. LAMB'S TIRE & AUTOMOTIVE will try to fail your Texas state inspection to sell you replacement parts, then make it difficult to get a refund if you disagree with their decision. Places that sell tires, and other car parts have an incentive to fail inspections before necessary.

I was suspicious when my test was failed, so I had it independently verified. While the parts in question were worn, they were still in the passing range. LAMB'S TIRE & AUTOMOTIVE was particularly UNHELPFUL in resolving the issue. A reputable firm would have at least offered a partial refund.

There is a built in conflict of interest in the state inspection program. Inspection stations are both judge, and jury with no real appeal process. If your car is older, get it inspected at a repair shop that doesn't also sell tires and other inspection replacement parts as a primary part of their business.

Rip OFF

I've got a sweet little Buick, 15 y/o with 40,000 miles. Twice a year, I make a 600 mile trip. I took it to Lamb's to get the inspection sticker and make sure everything's good. I never get out of there for under $1000 bucks. Yesterday, the 'need to do' estimate was over $2000 (and they just saw this car 11 months and 2000 miles ago). They gave me a 'generous' triple A discount (and, I suspect, their special single woman treatment). Run. I got a recommendation from a trusted friend, and this local shop is doing everything on the list for less than half Lamb's price with a year's warranty. Other places to never go for anything to do with your car: Pep Boys, Goodyear, Jiffy Lube, Sears, Walmart, or a car dealer. And, pop that hood and let a friend tell you about everything under it. Know your fluids and how to check them and refill them yourselves (you don't have to get married, Darlin'). When your battery won't hold a charge, know what an alternator is. Betcha Lambs ain't gonna frame this review and hang it on their dang wall.
