General Info: Austin optometrist Dr. Lester R. Kitchen offers a wide range of services to provide the highest level of care and convenience for our patients.Dr. Lester R. Kitchen graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston. He practiced under the late Dr. J. W. Kinard in Lubbock, TX, then at Lowry AFB in Colorado. He has been an optometrist in Austin, TX for over 40 years.Dr. Kitchen is experienced in all aspects of eye and vision health, including difficult contact lens fitting (bifocals, keratoconus, and CRT/orthokeratology), treatment of eye disease, and co-management for LASIK and cataract surgery with Texas' leading eye surgeons.Dr. Kitchen is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and Central Texas Optometric Society, and has participated in many charity events throughout the years.
