Went to the shop with my son and his dad to go get my septum pierced. As I walk up to the door it has a sign stating no children are permitted in the shop whether it's in a cart, stroller or in your arms. It has something to do with their "insurance policy." so they go and wait in the car...

I go inside and told Jade(the piercer) specifically that I need to be able to flip the ring up in my nose as I work in a professional environment where it would not be tolerated. So tells me it's fine and the ring she is putting in will be able to flip up. So I trusted her word and proceed with the piercing.

She gets everything set up and has me sit in front of her to do the piercing, which I'm thinking as I'm typing this that it's weird, usually I see people laying down...anyways she doesn't consult me about where the needle is being placed and jus does it. Everything was fine till I got home and really started noticing stuff. Like how crocked it was. I understand that piercings aren't going too be 100% perfect...but really??? So I try to flip it up to see what it would look like...and you can clearly see it in my left nostril. When I started looking to see where it was placed I noticed it was VERY close to the tip of my I ask a couple of people about their piercings..and they say theirs are further up. Oh yeah and I asked her which gauge it was and she respond 16g. That's when I ask her if she could do it with a 14g and she tells me that the 16 was all she about unprepared! I feel like the ring itself isnt big enough to allow room for swelling, that was the last mistake that was made when I got a piercing in my ear. But I know she realizes when she getting low on stock. That's jus laziness. And now she's supposed to start tattooing..pshhhh good luck with that one kid.

So now I'm stuck with a piercing I'm extremely frustrated with(considering taking it out) and a shop that I'll never go back to. The staff wasn't very pleasant in top of it all...

I'll probably go to Shaman Modifications on congress and Ben White to see if the piercer Pineapple can help me out with my dilemma. From what I gather the staff over there is awesome and knowledgeable.
