I've been going to Milk & Honey and justed discovered By Cindys so I thought I try this place for a Mani/Pedi. Wow what a difference. The service and atmosphere is just as nice if not better. I didn't need an appointment to get serviced. Mary was my tech and she did a great better job on my hands and toes. Lets just say its a bargain for what you get at By Cindys. Can't wait to come back.
I goto cindys all the time, and I love it. When I walk in they always greet me, offer me anything I want to drink from wine, margaritas (which are awesome), cucumber water, or sodas..oh did I mention they're FREE! Oh and the girls no matter which one always give me very deep and good foot massage. Besides all that I always know its clean, they clean EVERYTHING right in front of you. If your looking for a new nail place this is it, has everything. I love it!

This is my 3rd time here and its always been pleasant. I like the fact that there always consistant with my Pedicure Manicure. Its rare that I get this kind of service at any other Day Spa. The atmoshphere is simply relaxing. The Ladies are kind and accommodating. The bathroom is tastefully wierd( its completely mirrored). There rain drop water fountain relaxes me. They provide me complimentary beverage and a Ipad. The Ipad keeps me entertained while be serviced. I strongly recommend this place.
DO NOT GO HERE! I called to schedule an appointment for a long over due pedi/mani with a special they have been advertising of half off for the whole month of June. When scheduling the appointment I verified the regularl cost of $55 would be $27.50. I showed up for my appointment and the girl at the desk presents me with the 'Real Deal' which is $45 in stead of $27. I explained that was not what I singed up for and she said okay and sat me down and said no worries. The nail tech was amazing and did an a great job.
I go to the register to pay and was told it woul dbe $45! So once again I had to go through the whole deal again! She rolled her eyes at me, said ok and handed me my credit card statement with a pen to sign the ticket. The pen leaked all over my hand and wallet. Ruining not only my wallet but my manicure! She did not offer to help and said Im sorry. I said can you please try to remove the ink. She reluctantly grabbed a cotton swab and led me to the door.
I usually go to Tarrytown nails, and thought since I work near 5th, I would try Cindys Day Spa. I made an appointment for Thursday afternoon for a manicure and pedicure. The facility was nice, and clean so I assumed they would also do good work. Even after I returned from it, I referred a friend there the next day telling her how nice it was. She went and had a manicure done by them. By Saturday my nails and toenails had started chipping, the girl that did my nails did the polish very thin, so not only was it chipping, it was starting to show through my nails. My friend's nails started chipping by Sunday! Maybe it is just me, but I do not want to pay $40 to have my polish last 2 days!!! I could have done it myself and used that money for cocktails!
So I called on Monday to say I loved the place, but am very disappointed, and told her what happened. The girl was very nice, said she was so sorry and for me to tell her a day that week that would work to come back in and she would re-do it for FREE, and even give me a parafin treatment. That would have been great, and the right thing to do as they are a new business and that is how you treat customers when you do a bad job. However, I got a phone call 2 hours before I was supposed to go back in for my re-do and they said sorry, but the owner, Cindy said she will not do it for free, that I had to pay for it. She said there is a 3 day period, so I should have come in on Monday. I told her that would have been fine if they would have told me that on Monday when I called, however the girl asked me what day was convenient for me, and I told her Thursday, so I could have fresh nails for the holiday weekend. I have to say that is one of the worst ways to handle business! You don't treat your customers like that!! Especially when you are a new business! I am appalled and I definitely will not be going there again, and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone. Yea, it is nice inside, but who wants to pay $40 for 2 days worth of polish, then be treated like that. You don't deliver bad work, then say you will redo not at no charge, then call the day of and say "Oh, now Cindy wants you to pay for it, and won't do it for free!" Bad, bad way to handle business.
