excellent food! fast courtious staff who always gets the order right. it reminds me of how austin used to be... hopefully the gross condo going up next door doesnt change the crowd or atmosphere of the place. its like the original spider house but with staying power. never change and keep up the good work guys.
p.s.- only place in town with a home made veggie burger and it is AMAZING.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is awesome, the food is great, and the atmosphere is really welcoming and community oriented. It's like going to a friend's house for a dinner party.
The tofu scramble here is like nothing else in town. It is stir fried with nutritional yeast and spices - yummy! It is a bonus substituted on any egg dish - especially the Garden!
The wait for food can extend up to 30 minutes or more - especially on weekend brunch - but definitely worth the wait. You don't have to wait to be seated here, you just order and sit, so you really aren't waiting any longer for the food here - it balances out. And besides, when you see the staff busting their *ss they way they do, you know they are doing all they can to get everyone's food out as soon as they are able.

Bouldin Creek is the most amazing vegetarian restaurant in Austin. And I think that's what confuses people about the ""speed"" of the service-- Bouldin is built like a coffeehouse, but it's really not. It's a restaurant that serves coffee (and beer and wine...). When it's busy, yeah, you wait a while to get your food, but the wait isn't any longer than Magnolia's when they're busy. Regardless, the menu is fantastic and the food is great. The veggie-rizo tacos can't be beat... sub tofu for egg and you've got heaven. I've had everything on the menu at least once and it's all amazing.

We love eating at Bouldin Creek for any or every meal of the day. The veggie royale is hands-down the best veggie burger in Austin, and I find myself craving the tofu scramble at least once a week. The coffee and espresso drinks are not great, but the food is what really shines here.
